So Ive been reading around and I cant seem to find my issue on here. I have a 1980 280zx and recently Ive been putting work into it so I can make it my daily driver while I work on my bug but I cant seem to pinpoint this problem. When I start the car up it runs and idles fine around 8-900rpm. But after a little bit of driving it will Idle at 2000 and rev out at 2300. It doesnt do it all the time though. When I'm at a stop light and its doing this I just hold the brakes and let off the clutch a little bit i can get it to drop but when I push the clutch down it climbs right back up. I heard something about a BCCD? I have no idea what that is. And I also heard sensors can ca…

The local GM dealership put a ZX in its windowed gazebo today. $10k for it. Yikes. It's pretty good looking though. I've always thought stock ride height on the ZX was a bit goofy looking, for lack of a better term. I've lowered mine similar to this one, except mine is nowhere near as nice. I wonder about that exhaust though. Is it V8 swapped? Or is it split that way just because.. I dare not ask a salesman. Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk

Question for you guys - is it possible to swap the B-Pillar door trim (is that the right part name?) from the black plastic 1983 ZX to the chrome trim from the 1979 ZX? The attached picture should clarify what I'm curious about. Any ideas? chase

I purchased a used fuel rail with injectors attached to it. The seller didnt say if they were off of a turbo model or not. Is there a product number I can reference? Or any way to figure out if they are NA injectors? I pulled them off to have them cleaned. And I have a Pallnet rail coming in here soon. Thank you

I never speak to this neighbor and I don't even think he knows who I am, but here's a picture of the car. I've never seen it move for 2 years and the tires look kinda flat. I'm kind of new to this but I think it's a 1983 non turbo 2 seater. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk

I have a 1981 280zx and I think I have the sending unit plumbed correctly. But I don't think I'm getting fuel still. The right most line is the vent line. The middle is the send line and the left most is the return right??

I have been searching for a 280ZX Fuel pressure Regulator and with the exception of one for $200 - $500 I can't seem to find one. The Beck/Arnley 158-0091 model seems to be out of stock every where I check. Can anyone help me out and either direct me to a vendor or sell me one. Thank you.

I thought this ZX subforum could use another ongoing build thread. This is part of an already existing thread from another forum, so please excuse any grammatical errors from the adaptation. I've had this '86 300ZX turbo for nearly 9 years, so I'll try to paraphrase some of important details. Keep in mind that it's a driver's car. I do enter it in shows and try to keep it as clean as possible, but when it comes down to it, it is being built as a car intended to be driven and enjoyed on the backroads of the Ozarks. Another note: I posted this as a "period-correct" restomod, but it obviously has had some modern details added over time. The goal is to have an over…

i have a -71B conversion in a MGB - i need an adapter to connect the ZX slotted output spindle to a "common" square-cable angle adapter - i think the one in there might have been made by cutting the end off an old ZX cable - it has twisted off; it appears that the ZX cable end was "screwed" into the slot fitting since the end bit i can see has a couple "threads" on it UPDATE - the "threads" are just twisted metal of the 3/32 "key" where it broke - i got the other piece out of the slot adapter by drilling it - i will need to find that slot-adaper & a new 3/32 key any ideas ? - any source for such a piece? FOUND this - Stewart Warner Perf…

New here, so this may be a total faux pas if the owner happens to be a member here. Apologies in advance. So there is this '80 on CL. For the most part, it looks like it's been taken care of mechanically, but I'm thinking the bodywork might be hurting the value. Looks to be a kit that would be fairly involved to remove and go back to stock. I might not care. It might just stay that way. I'm not looking for a show car. Aftermarket seats would be easy to replace, but not necessary. The only other thing I could think of is that year had either manual R&B or power recirculating ball steering. Again, this might not be a massive point. Just looking for a fun …

Need some help from my fellow ZX friends - Still looking for the cassette tape that came with the 1980 280zx 10th Anniversary model - I have the cassette holder but not the Tape itself would appreciate any help getting a copy of this tape. I see a number of 10th Anniversaries on U-Tube that are low miles etc so these fellas must still have the tape but its impossible to contact them as there are no addresses etc. Thanks in advance for your Help.
