I'd appreciate recommendations on replacing the summer tires on my Series I. It's been ~ ten years with the present 195/70/14 so it's time to change. Thanks, George

Just picked up a 91 300ZX 2+2 in desperate need of new tires. Currently has stock wheel and tire size (225/50/16) which looks pretty wimpy to my eye. I want to fill up the wheel wells more. For the time being I'll stick with the stock 16" wheels, though I'm not really a fan of the look. For those of you that have upsized tires on stock wheels I'm wondering what size you've got and if you have any clearance issues. Thanks!

Can someone give me an idea where to start with this? DO i pick out the tires first or wheels? based on what i have read in other posts here a good wheel/tire is 205/50R15? Would a bolt pattern 4x100 be the proper one for a 71 240z? I see some that are 110 or 114....not sure about that

The PO installed these chrome rims on my ZX sometime in the 90's. They don't look half bad cleaned up, but I'm wanting something more period correct that isn't the stock rim. I'm considering Enkei92's. I'd like to hear any one else's opinion. Perhaps there's something out there I haven't seen.

I need help again! I am replacing inner and tie rod ends. I can get a wrench on the inner tie rod (see picture), but I can't get it to loosen up. Is there a trick to this? Is this still left to loosen and right to tighten? 1983 280zx. Thanks!

I took my car in for an inspection today and they failed me. The culprits where passenger front "strut mount" and driver front "tire rod inner". I am trying to figure out if these are things I could fix myself. I have a jack, and jack stands, but in the chilton manual it makes it look like they have the care overhead to work on the struts. I am also confused as to what they mean by "strut mount". As far as the tire rod inner I am super confused on the terminology because when you look for parts there is "tie rod end" "tie rod inner" and "inner tie rod end". Any help would be appreciated. Is this maybe the tie rod they are referring to : https://www.moog-suspens…

Will a 1981 manual rack and pinion fit a 83 datsun 280zx? Detroit axle has one and was wondering if it's a direct bolt on or if I need to modify the crossmember?

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the wheel and tire size used on John Morton's BRE 240z. I just think the amount of side wall and the overall stance just looks so good on that car. I found that VTO retro 4 rims are close look alike to the magnesium racing wheels on the BRE car. Thanks!

The brake master cylinder on my otherwise perfectly running/stopping '80 ZX has failed. Currently installed is what i believe to be the OEM Nabco master cylinder from the factory, with the 2 separate reservoirs, rearmost working the front , and the most forward reservoir working the rear. I have an "82 N/A parts car(of which some parts are not interchangeable), with a master cylinder that has 1 reservoir for both front and rear. This one is most likely from the factory as well. Will the single reservoir master cylinder from the '82 car work in the '80 car? About a week ago RockAuto had a brake master cylinder from Raybestos, rebuilt, i imagine, with Nabco …

So I ordered new shock struts, all 4. They are KYB Gas A Just. Long story short, the rear end sits about 2 inches too high, the ride is very harsh. So I contacted KYB and ask them to research the part number with them telling me I had the correct part. I went back and forth with them saying that something is not right, but there was nothing else they could offer me to help solve the problem. I drover the car around for a few months thinking they may settle, but nothing changed. Has anyone had a similar issue?
