I replaced my aftermarket seats with originals that I found-recovered them in leather with red contrast stitching. Then completely refurbished the door panels in leather with the red stitching and diamond pattern! Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Wow you really appreciate the little things on the Datsun carbs and linkage. The MGB is very crude when compared and tricky to sync off-idle. In the end the owner was happy with the results and I had my first drive in an MGB convertible.

Nope - not rest and recuperation. My R&R is now Rescue & Refurb. Quite a few things from the salvage yard are in flight - a bunch of stuff is already off at plating, other items are getting cleaned and stripped for plating and/or painting. Today was work on a set of horns from the '73 car. I forgot to get a pic of how they looked before degreasing but they were pretty nasty. Many thanks to those who recently contributed to a thread on restoring horns to the OE look. Also in work is a hatch strut with like-new rebound action - not sure where the golden hue came from in the pic, everything is actually bright silver. Its pretty amazing how much stuff there is o…

Spent several hours picking the bones of this sad '73 today - 10/72, VIN 129684. Its been in the yard for several years but still had some bits worth refurbishing and eventually offering to our community. Recounting my recent line "...there's gotta be a pony in there somewhere", I may even have come across a couple of unicorns. Time will tell. A couple of 280's and a bunch of ZX's at this yard - more candy than I could eat today. More pickings yet to come.

We're almost done building our new garage and barn. On Saturday we moved 12 cars and 4 trailers. The #00 white w/red race car is my friends. I still have to buy or build shelving and move all of my parts. At some point I'll have to sell some cars so I move in 4 more cars. Chuck

Not my car but my fellow club member's cars at Autorama for our annual display. This year it is a set of six amaZing Z32's. The convertible is a TT + 5-speed transplant replacing the stock NA + automatic. The red car is a 2009 ZCCA Gold Cup car. The green car is a 17k miles gem to be shown at ZCON Austin in the Stock class. The blue car is a LS swap. The black car is Nissan certified as one of the final 300 units produced in 1996. The white car is a full track car set-up.

I am ready to remount the Differential but need advice on what Thread Sealant, Perma-Lock or Anti-Seize that I should use on attaching the Rear Diff cover and bolts on reattaching Drive Shaft and Half Shafts.

On my last couple of oil changes I noticed the underside of my 77 from the front of the engine to the rear of the tranny was all wet with oil. Couple of drips here and there. I'd wipe them, the drips, and look around for the source. Couldn't find it. Because there seemed to be more dripping from the tranny than anywhere else I assumed the worst. Rear crank main or front tranny seal. I finally decided a couple of days ago that while I was doing an oil change I would jack the Z up higher and crawl under there and with a fine toothed comb, so to speak, try to locate the source. Still I couldn't find it. I just laid there, probably not the only that has done that, looking aro…
