Take a look below at this white with the rare blue interior Series I listed on Ebay. The seller states that it was painted with a "2-step process, clear over white". I thought that the 904 White was one of the few 240Z colors that didn't have a clear coat....I know that the 918 Orange did and that's what was done on my '71, but my '72 will be ready for paint in about a month and I need to know for sure. Please advise. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-240Z-2nd-Owner-Completely-Restored_W0QQitemZ300046788110QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

My car is a 240Z with ZG flares and 17X8 (F) , 17X8.5 ® Zauber mesh wheels. I have decided to paint the car a Viper red and am wondering should I add pearl to the paint or not. If I am to add pearl what color pearl should I add to the red paint? Also if any of you guys have examples of red paint with pearl and could share a few pictures it would be greatly appreciated. below is a example of viper red paint:

Hi guys. My name is Alexander Calamara and I am living in Germany. I have a real serious problem. I need for my 280ZX 1983 both metal sheet elbows (LH and RH) beneath the front bumper, at the beginning of fenders. If desired, I can send you a picture of these parts. In the process of converting my 280 bumpers to 72 240z style. Working on the front one right now. Does anyone know the correct size for the secret little bolt that threads into the bumper ends (thru the body below the headlight area) I did a search on bumper bolts and someone claimed they are 6 x 1.0 , bought 2 stainless ones, they do not thread in, feels like the thread is wrong. Are they special tapered bolts or just standard? If anyone knows or can verify the correct bolt size, let me know.... My car looks different with no bumper

Both the locks are broken on my Z. Neither of them will budge at all. I've tried soaking them in PB Blaster, brake cleaner, etc. and that hasn't been working. Is there another way to go about fixing these locks up? Or should I just pick up a new set? If so, were is the best place to go? Thanks to anyone who responds!! John

My car goes in for paint next week. I'm going with a color change to 901 silver so lots of stuff to take apart. I put my 10 year old daughter to work drilling out the rivets holding on the side trim. The painter I am using has done some amazing cars in the past so I know he's got the skills to do a great job. There is a Ferrari 308 in the shop in front of me but as soon as the Ferrari is done the 240Z goes in. I can't wait! He thinks it will take about 3 weeks to finish the job. I'll post some photos along the way.

I found a '72 240z sitting in a guys yard that is total basket case, but it does have fairly decent bumpers on it. The rear bumper looks straight but needs new rubber strips. The front bumper is bent up a little in the middle but looks like it could be straightened fairly easily. No rust apparent. What would a set of bumpers like this be worth? Thanks. Brent

I've done some searching around this site, and the other parts of google, but I am having trouble finding the windshield wiper arms for my 280z ('76). If anyone could let me in on where to come by these I would really appreciate that! John

Found this local Craigslist ad -> http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/pts/1764083170.html The guy quoted me about $250 for a set of Chromed 240Z bumpers. I've never seen Chrome bumpers for sale so I don't know what price to compare it to. Is $250~ a reasonable price? I'm interested in replacing my 280Z bumpers.

OK, anybody buy these? The straight 'leg' of this rubber squeegee is too long to attach to the stainless trim piece (on my '71), even using the clips included with this purchase. It looks like the top line molded into the rubber would be the line to use to cut to the right size. This would mean cutting thru the rubber and metal reinforcing strip encapsulated within. Or is it just me? Did anyone else buy these and feel they had to cut them down to fit on the original stainless trim?

Hi, I am attempting to assess the damage to my 240z. I bought it some 12 years ago and am now, again, looking to go thru a few rounds of restoration/upkeep. Issue #1: The front passenger fender has been replaced (other blue, behind my otherwise off white z). Evidence of a collision. Also, noted on the passenger side, at where the front tie rod goes into the frame, the (female) mount, that is part of the body, is cracked and poorly welded as a repair. This damage never seemed to affect the driving, but after discovery, I vowed to properly repair: put on laser frame rack, to check/repair, clean out/up poor welds, reweld. Issue #2: The engine rests on the frame with wash…
