I saw a pic of this on another thread (about wire wheels) and did a google search for more info. I didn't find much, but here's a clearer picture of a model of the car: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i735.photobucket.com/albums/ww355/hiltaway2/DSCN4485.jpg&imgrefurl=http://cgi.ebay.ph/TOMICA-EBBRO-NISSAN-DATSUN-240Z-MR-KS-SELECTION-1-43_W0QQitemZ350241624774QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDiecast_Vehicles%3Fhash%3Ditem518c0712c6%26_trksid%3Dp4634.c0.m14&usg=__kXut5vYMJa-mk6GdX-333q0HEi0=&h=768&w=1024&sz=99&hl=en&start=12&tbnid=1SaGlGMs4hXTiM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmr%2Bk%2527s%2B240z%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den Can any…

I am in the process of reassembly of a 1971 240z. I am working on the doors more importantly the windows. When installing the window frame there are two rubber seals that go in the front and back of the window track. There is also a rubber seal on the quarter window. Could someone please take some detailed pictures of these seals so I can figure out how in the world they go in. I purchased this car in pieces so I was not the one who took them out, so I am just guessing trying to get them back in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Classic Z'ers, I am still trying to get weight out of my race car. Does anyone know of anyone that might make the cowl from alternate materials, such as Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass? Thanks Greg Ira

Well, I was off today and got bored, so I decided to work on my rear bumper. I have some long term plans for it that include a lot of cutting and fab work, but this will satisfy me in the mean time. This is what it looked like before. This is what it looked like when I took the old cracked and aged rubber pieces off. Notice the gap measurement. Old rubber pieces and tie down hooks. Everything removed. So here's what I did. I took the screw out of the end of the shocks to let the gas out. If you're doing this mod, you can see them once you take your bumper off. I also drilled a hole in the bottom of the shock body to drain the fluid to compress them enough…

I've owned my Z for about a year now. When I first bought it I had a garage in which I could fix/restore it myself. However, I've had to move into a large metro area and don't have that luxury anymore. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to work with repair shops. The biggest problem seems to be their ability to get parts. If they can get them, they are much more expensive (often 4x the cost of zcarsource.com for example) and take a much longer time to ship. What's more, they are often reticent to allow me to supply the parts even if I suggest they charge me a fee for the privilege. Does anyone have any relevent experience which could help? Thanks!

I remember seeing a picture of one a while back, but I forgot to save it to my pc. I was thinking this car was a 260 or 280 and had the window trim painted black too. I'm contemplating doing this to my car, but would like to see it beforehand. I could photoshop it, but I'd rather see it on a real car. If you have any other pictures of silver or white Z's with black window trim and/or bumpers, please post them up! -Grant

I have a 73 Z I need to have paint & body done. Any suggestions in JAX, FL? I know there are plenty, but I dont want to just hand it over to just any place that just does insurance work, not that I'm knocking that. But I kind of get the feeling from talking to some that there just really not interested in do my car, and I'm affraid the work may suffer. Any suggestions? I also wouldnt mind taking it out of town if there is a reputable place, in reason of course.

Guys, I need to install the grill/vent in the hatch of a 1970 Series 1. How does it work? The grill piece has pins in the back that attach itself to the duct in some way. Well what is that way? Basically, How do you attached the Duct to the hatch and the grill to the hatch. If you guys have any pics that would be great. Dayz

Has anyone seen the new filer caps on the newer cars? I know the Ford Fusion (Hybid) has it. It's a fuel filler neck without the screw-off cap. It just has a hole for the gas filler tube to be inserted, and it has a pressure seal on it. It has my interest because if you had one on your S30, you would not need a gas cap at all; You just open the filler door and push the nozzle in the hole.
