I am in the process of refinishing my engine bay and was wondering if it is possible to find Datsun 903 blue in rattle cans. I know Classic Datsun Motor works makes block, air cleaner and back panel colors in cans but don't know about body colors. Thanks, H Houghton

OK i am doing the body work on my own car.The thing is i was going to take it down to bare mettle. As i do i find there is some minor bondo work. Know i don't have allot of experience with that. I am changing the color from white to blue. I'm wondering if i just give it a good sanding to take off the clear coating. If the primer and paint will take and if you think it will show threw

Gnose auction This is an auction for a G-nose conversion in CA. Bidding was @ 185 when I posted this. It looks like a new unpainted part. Item number: 360137766594 What you are bidding on is a Custom Fiberglass G-Nose. It is still in good condition. It has a little fiberglass work to be done on the light buckets, but otherwise in good shape. There are no major cracks

I had taped up the outline of my upper hood release so that after I took it off I could put it right back in the exact same place. When I reinstalled the mechanisim, I then went to pull of the tape. Well, it also pulled off the paint under the tape. Bummed. So I found an outfit on the internet, Automotivetouchup.com that said it will custom mix a can of spray paint for me. However, I asked for single stage paint. The fellow there responded that he can only mix "basecoat." What is the difference? Will it appear different on the underside of the hood next to the original paint? Thanks. I know I will have to prep the area, primer, sand and then rub out the paint if…

Hello, I am new here but an old friend to Z cars. Great website with lot's of help - nothing like restoring during the late 70's early 80's- . Yesterday, I brought my 72 240 home from 23 years of commercial storage. Cripes I could have bought the building it stored in for the rent paid! Back then, I replaced every body panel but the roof, floors & frame rails,- the engine, tranny, brakes etc were aok when last shut off. But alas, the corrosion caught up to me making it undriveable. If I remember, it was all of 12k 1984 dollars. The front fenders and valence are fiberglass- whatever became of that company?? I thought they made a pretty good product. Can I replace th…

I took the rear bumper and the rubber...(what’s left of it) off my 76 280. The front shock absorbers come off easy but it looks like the rear shock absorbers are nearly impossible to take off with out removing a lot of other things. For those of you that have done this what all do you have to remove to take the rear absorbers out???

So far I am in love with the color and cant wait to see it with the clearcoat on. Sorry about the fuzzy photo's. I couldnt tell that was the case untill I had them loaded up on my computer at home. I will get some better pic's today. Started out black Then the silver basecoat After that was the candy red …

I want to remove the windshield, the glass in the hatch, and the small side windows as well when I get the car painted. How difficult is it to do this? Is it pretty easy to put them back in? I plan on buying a weather stripping and seal kit to replace all the old rubber.

I approached a friend who is in the vinyl business about making me the accent stripe that goes along the bottom of the car in red instead of the available black or white. He says he can do it, but he wants me to send him a closer picture of the 240Z script. He also says he can make me as many as I want in different colors. He will be making 4-5 for me in the red. Anyone want? This is the picture I sent him. I forget who's car that is but it looks exactly like mine but red instead of white. Anyone with a closer pic of the 240Z script?
