Merry Christmas everyone, For my birthday, my wife purchased me a 1975 280z:). I am its fourth owner. It has only 58,000 document miles ( I have all of the paperwork from the P.O.'s). I have purchased an air dam for it (MSA Type II). I searched the forum and looked at the instructions on how to mount it. But I am not about to find the information needed. Per the instructions from MSA, I am to remove the lower front valence. Looking at the FSM I download, it does not mention a lower front valence. Looking at the sections under "bumper and radiator grille - pg. BF-7, I see the items "front bumper sides". Am I to remove those also? If so, what does the air dam mou…

So I have this delema... If you look at the pics you will see the only rust on my car is on the back hatch below the glass. My paint is in pretty good shape and I dont have plans for a repaint any time soon. At the same time I dont want to have a visable patch job showing... my hood is bad enough, but livable... looks race inspired- my wifes words-. So do I fix the rust now and live with unsightly repair or wait 4-5 years and fix at repaint? What would you do? Thanks for inputs

Is the driver side headlight bucket on a 75 280z different from the passanger side. The reason I ask is because the passanger side fits nice and snug in the bucket, but the driver side looks a little different. The headlight seems to stick out a little more and it doesn't seem to have the same lip as the other one. Is this just something wrong with my buckets or is this normal.

The panels surrounding the tail-lights are brittle and have a few cracks. They are also very faded. I'd like to get new ones, is this possible? I can probably repair my current ones, but considering its just plastic---i'd rather just buy some new ones... WHERE can i get em? The panels are the dark-grey plastic part, of this photo. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g123/18rg/Car%20parts/IMG_8069-1.jpg Thanks!

So let me start from the beginning as there is a little bit of story leading up to..the incident. First off, all your northerners know it is snowy up here really bad this year for so early and I have been treating my car accordingly even though it is my only vehicle at the moment and I HAVE to drive her as much as I hate to in this horrible weather. Ok, now for the story... I just moved here and have no family on this side of the state, so a coworker invited me to spend Christmas Eve with his family. I went. On the way there and right before we pulled up, I got a flat in the passenger rear. Not too big of a deal. I don't have a spare (yet) but his dad had some of t…

I have a 1973 240z, and it seems like the doors are not opening they way they should. I did replace the door seals and for a while you had to slam the doors to get them to close, but now you just have to firmly close it and it latches all the way. The problem is when you go to open the door, you have to push the door in while pulling the door handle up. From the inside all I have to do is pull the handle and the door springs open. Is this common or is there some adjustment I can do to fix this? I would think you could just lift up on the door handle from the outside and it would open. I have this problem with both sides, passenger and driver. Thanks, Richard

I finally settled on a body shop to do the refresh on the '73. The body man and I are wondering if there's any difference in quality between the replacement panels available from Black Dragon and MSA. I'll be buying the rear quarter on the drivers side, from the dog leg back. Does anyone have any thoughts on these? Thanks.
