Hi This is a new OEM Nissan splash pan. I was told that it fits 240z models, but it doesn`t fit in my early 240z. At Nissan they told that it fits 260z and 280z as well. As it won`t fit in my car it is for sale 210 USD. If you want it please check it before buying it. Just try to make money that I paid for it This is a very rare part to find!! Filipe Azevedo

Soon my 240's bodywork will be completed and i need to put protection to it. I'm still doubting on both brands. How rough finish do both have? Rustbullet claimes to be better than Por-15. And somebody knows how to order Rustbullet, since i'm from the Netherlands. There's no salespoint here, it is for Por-15. Can somebody who has used on of these products remmond me some? Bart.

How bad is it if I use Rustoleum in the engine bay? I'm not one to be cheap but I look at it this way- The car is going to be white. I detailed cars for 15 years. White looks virtually the same no matter how much polishing you do to it. I can't see spending money where it's not going to be noticed. I'm more of a "if it doesn't make it go faster, stop quicker, or turn better you don't need it" type of guy. If some people have painted their whole cars with it, how bad can an engine bay be? I do have a small touch up paint gun so I could shoot it with "normal" paint if I have to. I guess I'm looking at it as, if I can save ~$100 to have a body shop paint it, I can put that …

Does anyone know if there is a "correct" location for the cast aluminum racing mirrors on the doors? I need to tell the body shop where to drill the holes. It looks, (to me), like the front of the mount should be between 2-1/2" to 3" back from the forward edge of the door, at the centerline of the mirror base. Was there any specified "correct" location? Thanks!

Finally found a small shop who was willing to paint the Z. He mostly does dealer work and small jobs the other shops refuse . Gave it to him in primer with all the trim/bumpers/glass and such off. He will do the final sand and tape He uses Dupont Chromabase and should have it back in a couple of weeks. I'll post pics as soon as it's home .

I have noticed that the door gap on S30 cars isn't exactly even, or the same all the way around. The front & rear gaps are, or can be, the same ( about 3mm) but the gap at the top-front corner ( where the mirror is) seems to be noticeably bigger. Is that correct? I have had a few musclecar guys tell me I need to adjust the door gaps, but after I told them what I have is normal, I get some crazy looks, and show judges (at non-z car shows) say the same, and since you can't tell the judges what's what, so I get hammered point-wise. I can get a picture. thxZ

Anything actually do it fairly well? The hood/deck of my car are a bit hazy, I went over the hood with meguire's cleaning wax and then scratch x (scratch x first really didn't do anything, but applying it after the cleaning wax gave a fairly significant improvement...) The finish no longer feels like chalk and is a bit shinier (it reflects SOME light now but...) well, there must be something better Short of a new paint job (it'll be in the next ten years, and almost certainly be yellow/orange/lime green) but for now I'm not too concerned with looks beyond polishing so... What product should I purchase to do this?
