   Hey guys, the end of october during 07', I managed to pick up a free rolling chassis. The car had minor rust, minor dents and minor holes. The car came with all body panels, lights, suspension, steering column with wheel, brakes along with the master cylinder. As of today, all the rust has been taken care of, and minor holes have been fixed. The car has incomplete wiring and is missing the headlight and bucket. There is no interior other than the steering rack and e brake lever. I was able to obtain a 1972 240Z, and I transferred all the body panels I fixed on the 71' and swapped the 72' panels onto the 71'. Now, i'm planning on getting rid of the 71' shell. Would anyon…

   I'm in need of the engine compartment metal part that supports the battery. The part that is welded to the engine compartment wall. I've seen one available as an aftermarket part somewhere but can't seem to relocate it. Any help would be appreciated. Ready to go to paint in the next 2-3 weeks. Thanks

   Finally got the Z back from the paint shop after a total respray. What was supposed to be 8 weeks turned into 14. Now the fun begins and hopefully all the pictures and plastic bags of bits with notes to remind me will pay off. Car is 73 240 and was originally silver metallic but had had a cheap respray in the 1990's by a PO. We could not get the original silver so it is painted in a Nissan Silver from 1985 which was a very close match for the colour that was on the car. Warren

   Inner fender rust- how to fix?

   I've started to paint everything not seen with Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator. The underside of the rear hatch is done and looks great. Today I started on the front inner fender area, skipping the floor pans which need to be cut out still. On the passengers side there was a bubble of rust. I'm using a polisher with a wire cup to remove any scale and when I pressed against it, it went right through. There is about a silver dollar size hole. This obviously needs to be cut out. My question is, what's behind that panel? Since it's rusted through, I don't think the inside will look pretty either. What I'm planning on doing is cutting the panel out, sand blasting any rust behind…

   Is there any pictures of a Z that has had the chrome trim blacked out? I've always hated chrome. To me it just looks cheesy. What I'd like to do is paint the trim flat black and only leave the bumpers chrome.

    I just ordered the 432 rear spoiler from Classic Datsun Motorsports. I plan to install it when I finally get my body and paint work done. I have a front BRE spook as well from CDM. Has anyone else purchased these parts from CDM? How are they working for you? I think there's an article on Zhome.com that shows the BRE/OEM spoilers seem to be the best all around aero mods for the 240Z. Any other opinions?

    I have a 74 260. Do I need the front bumper mounts from the year I pulled that bumper from in order to mount it on my 260? It was from a 73 I believe. thanks guys
