i got screwed on ebay a couple weeks ago. it was also kinda my fault too. i got a bumper off ebay from a 240z. the thing is i forgot to ask what year it was off of. when i got it, it didn't fit. then i just remembered that the bumpers on 73's and later where different.:stupid:. i have a '72. so....is there any way i can make that bumper fit on a '72? i want it to fit close to the body like how my old bumper did, before it was damaged.

With the weather being so not-wintry, I have continued my quest to stop the leaks that plague me on a very inconsistent basis. With the rear hatch doing well, I figured I would go after the front windscreen. I have had several small rust bubbles form where the cowl meets the trim and wanted to find out how bad it was. Do recall that the cowl on an s130 is not removable (for whatever reason). When I would wash the car, or the rain would fall heavily, water would accumulate in the driver footwell and was entering from points unknown behind the tarmat. Additionally (and this is new) when it rains, water would drip down from the inside upper corner of the driver side. A…

For some time my rear window has been leaking when it rains or I wash the car. Sometimes it would leak quite a bit, other times not so much. Either way, it needed to be stopped. Since the rubber gasket wasn't in terrible shape, I figured I would just try to seal it up with a fine bead of black silicone sealant, rather than order a new weatherstrip set. Overall, it seems to be doing fine, though I just did this yesterday. I applied silicon to one edge at a time, starting at the bottom edge, then the driver side, passenger side, and finally to top edge. It might have made more sense to start at the top edge, but to each their own. The first step was to thoroughly clean…

I was reading an article on Z's the other day that said the guys who helped make the Zero fighter in WWII also helped on Z's. Then i was reading some other article and it said the people that worked at Prince Motor Company worked on the Zero fighters. So at around 4am i came up with this. Would look crazy with some Works Equip wheels. Dont flame me for thinking up crazy paint jobs

I'm planning a paint job on my silver 240. Keeping the metallic silver and considering subtle metallic charcoal for hood stripes and same on lower panel below doors. I know virtually nothing about modern paint technology. Want a good, high gloss and good chip resistance. Also, is one type of paint easier for stone chip touch-ups?

I'm trying to find a pair of those circular mirrors off of the 240Z. Also, what I'm really looking for is a diagram as to where they go. I wanna move them from the door panels to the fenders, like in Japan. I'm sure it's out there someplace!

Does anyone know if Nissan made an OEM passenger side mirror for the 1975-78 280z? If so, any leads on where I can find one? I've only seen these on a few Z's. Thanks!

I just received my Motorsports Side Skits. Which by the way aren't even close to fiting my 240Z. I plan to cut, re-fiberglass and fix them. My question is: My car is done with prep and primer and ready to go to the painter. Do I fix and fit the side skirts for my car, and have the car and the side skirts painted seperatly? Or should I attach the skirts and have them painted on the car? It would make more sense to have them painted on the car, but the car is currently only painted with primer. I don't want to have un-protected (primer only) areas underneath the skirts. So do I spray rattle can auto paint on the area where the skirts will go, mount the skirts, and sand a…

Hey all , so whats the consensus with everyone , when painting taillight finishers do most people stay with stock paint or do they paint out a different color ?Mine are stock and in superb shape although I might consider something else . Is this considered sacrilegious , will I be chastised by fellow owners , maybe shot on site by purists ? Please give me some input . Thanxz Chris

Just a heads up if anyone has been waiting for stampings from Mill Supply, like I have for more than 6 months now, it looks like they are finally available. I just got email confirmation that my parts have been shipped. I had trouble getting the right side quarter panel and both sides wheelhouse outers. Tabco supplies all the Z stampings for them, but I had no luck trying to buy direct from Tabco. It was a long wait but I'm grateful that someone is still punching out the parts we need.
