Hey guys, been a while since I've posted on the forums. I've been really busy with the Z and work. But recently I took a girl out on a date and when she went to open the door it was still locked ( I guess she didn't realize that a 1973 car doesn't have automatic locks! ) and she pulled up on the handle pretty hard and broke the tab. Now, if you're outside the car and looking at the handle dead on, the tab that broke is on the left side. You can see where it broke when you pull up on the handle and see the end is missing/broken. I was wondering how do i go about fixing this? First off, how do i take off the interior door panel? Second, will I need to take out the win…

Has anyone seen this before, or maybe used it? I think I might have a few uses for it, if it's half as good as they claim. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1oz-KAAT-Chrome-Real-CHROMIUM-Spray-n-Bake-Plating_W0QQitemZ190150472580QQihZ009QQcategoryZ34203QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

So my 71 240z has been in the body shop now for about a month and a half and the Z is looking good! Its ready for paint! I got a call from the body shop saying for me to come down and look at the fiberglass airdam that I purchased from MSA. (type 2) . I go and they show me these little cracks all over the thing. Its small cracks in the gel coat. They said it would probably show up in the paint!! And if I want it to be perfect they need to spend about 8 hours on it!!! Whats the deal should it take that long to prep a fiberglass airdam?! I was told all you have t do is sand it down to the fiberglass and then throw a couple coats of primer on it? HELP!!? Im not going to pay …

Does anyone have any suggestions about removing the metal drip rail above the doors? A restoration book says to loosen it up and then pop it off the door frame. I have gently tried this and cannot remove it without bending it. I would like to take it off prior to painting. Any suggestions? Thanks. Carl

Who's using a car cover? Unless it fits perfectly with no way for the wind to get inside, then it'll blow off. Mine has a plastic gromet on each side, but the only thing you can do is to hook a rubber cord under the car to the two grommets, but it's not fun to lay on the ground when it's raining. I've tried pony clamps on the four corners of the bumpers. I thought it would be easiest to tie hooks/clasps directly on the side grommets and hook those under the rocker panel seams, but there's nothing under the car to hook onto. Has anybody thought of another way to secure a car cover? thxZ

I need to replace my passsenger side floor pan, but the driver side is rock solid. Only the passenger side was rotted because the heater core was dripping. Does anyone sell individual floor pans? Every place I've found seems to only sell them in pairs. Thanks

Are the later 280z rear quarters EXACTLY the same (as a 240)? Specifically a 76 280z. And I'm talking sheet metal, not interior panels. To me, they look the same on casual observance (haven't had the opportunity to actually measure all the key dimensions on one), but are they truly the same stamp? Point of the question is I need a full quarter going up the rear pillar, but can't seem to find a decent one for the HSL30, so I'm broadening my search. Thanks for any input.
