   painting rims?

   My polished aluminum rims are all scratched and see to be near impossibly to clean up... is there any type of paint that i could use to bring some life back into them...? not necessarily a clear coat but i think i was gunna go with black because i want a whole yellow and black color scheme on my Z. any ideas? (theres a pic of the rims in my gallery)

   Hey, I was wondering if there is a source for new chrome bumpers for my 73 240z. The bumper align guys want 600.00 each to straighten and recrome. There has to be a better source for these things. Any help. I tried Motorsport, but the entire package without the overriders is over 1k. They are also the European style. TIA Chuck

   I took the seats out of my 38,000 mile 1972 240Z and decided to check out the floors a little more closely. On the surface they looked rust free due to the tars mats covering them. I carefully peeled up the mats and found some pretty heavy "surface rust", but no holes....yet. So I decided to treat them with the clear POR-15 instead of the black so that it wouldn't obsecure their actual condition. After two solid days of treating the floors with Metal Ready and scraping off as much rust as possible I put two coats of clear POR-15 on yesterday. I was amazed by the results. I was able to carefully remove the tar mats without ripping them up and I may tack them back on t…

   some dumbass backed into my 76 280z and was wondering what years the body parts are interchangeable...ive heard that 77-78 body parts wont quite fit....will 260/40 parts fit??

Seems to me it would save people are new to this a lot of time. It would also be easier on those of us helping people to simply refer them the page.    I recently saw a 280Z at a show with a lower front grille (under the bumper.) I looked in the microfiche, and I don't see any there. Is there some explanation, like only certain ones got a lower grille? thx

   just wondering what material is best to use for molding the fiberglass kits to the body! Had mine done and guy cant remeber what he used but it has never cracked and pretty flexable but not soft, it was sometype of sandable filler! Reason I,m asking is I have to redo the front spoiler due to having had to remove it to fit on a tow dolly! everything Ive tried cracks with very little impact/stress! but not the bluish looking stuff they used the first time!

    roller painting?

    i read this write up over on hybridz about painting your car witha roller, but would really like to some pics of a z painted this way. i have a mint 77 body that is ready for paint, but i now have nowhere to paint it with my spray gun and was considing using the roller method. i wont mind all the wet sanding, i am not the best with an air gun anyway so i was planning on wetsanding anyway. i want the car to look as good as it can, as i have zg flares and mirrors, and am putting 240 bumpers on it. so anyway, if you have done this, let me see some pics and let me in on any tricks before i mess up a good z. thanks tony

    Scratches in windshield, repair or replace?

    My windshield has scratches on it from the windshield wipers that apparently were pretty useless except for leaving small yet noticable scratches. Is there any sort of chemical treatment or buffing that could remove them or would I be better off just eating a new windshield?
