Story time:) And it’s a long one. I’m painting my 73 240 to address some rust issues especially in the doors. While searching for door skins I stumbled across the door assemblies from Resurrected Classics. For the price point and my available time window it seemed like the best way to move forward. I ordered the doors and received them promptly. They were. well packaged and looked really good. I figured I’d do a quick test fit by hanging them on the car. I used a single bolt top and bottom initially. The drivers door looked great with a slight problem where the door bottom meets the fender. Nothing a little filler wouldn’t fix. I then proceeded to fit the passengers …

Recently, a pair of inspection lids from a Series 1 were offered on ebay. One of the photos accompanying the ad depicted the rubber cushion (63223-E4102) to be shorter and having a “L” profile dissimilar to the ones usually seen on early 240Zs. Has anyone previously seen a similar cushion? Thanks, Keith

Hello, Early topics we have not seen here recently, have we? Some of you may know this, differences of the early inspection lid. I think there are 4 steps of the inspection lid(Early which have a plastic clip for retaining). #1 The bigining(maybe prototype) do not have a L-shape tab which is touched by the hood .Just have a rubber. See the picture of the yellow Z.I believe this Z432 is PS30-00013. You will notice there is no hood bumper, also the bracket of the master vac hose is different. #2 The second one has a L-shape tab but it is rivetted. See the picture of the blue Z,this is HLS30-00476 11/1969 #3 The third one looks same which …

I have to replace all the engine compartment decals on my 1970 240Z. I have visited several web sites that offer some decals but none offer a comprehensive list of the decals affixed to the car at the time of production. Does anyone have such a list? Also, I am interested in feedback on the quality of reproduction decals that are available. I am specifically interested in how the decals have retained their appearance over time; including the quality of the adhesives used, the sharpness of the lettering and the effects of heat and moisture on the appearance. Thanks, Keith

Does anyone know if these long bolts that hold the grill together are to be clear zinc, yellow zinc, or painted black?

I came to the realization that there should be a panel in both front wheel wells that covers the rear of the headlights. Looking at the attached photograph, there are at least three mounting holes circled in red. Does anyone have a photograph of this part? I tried to visualize it using the Futofab site but there wasn't a clear image of it.

I installed these on my 1972 240Z 10 years ago and was very pleased with them. Trying to direct a friend who needs to replace his seals but can't for the life of me find what year Kia Sportage works. I seem to remember the ones on the front doors fit best. Anyone recall what year Sportage seals fit.

I recently painted my 280z and want to add paint protection film in key areas. The car is lowered and has wider tires with flares. What would be the key areas to cover? I'm assuming behind the rear tires from the bottom of the quarter to about 8" up, the rocker panels, the area behind the front tires on the fender from the bottom up to the body line, and the front valance/air dam. Does that sound right? Any other areas? Thanks

I need a lower door hinge spring for a 1976 280z. I can't find a used one without having to purchase the entire hinge. I read another thread where someone linked a spring on McMaster but it was way too big in diameter, I am wondering if the 240z had larger springs. Has anyone had any luck finding a spring or a suitable replacement? Thanks
