I'm wanting to put a large 2-4' vinyl letter Z on the side of my trailer. I went to a sign making place today and this is what I got. To make the digital image would cost $30. Each letter which will be 28" x 28" and cost $70. Custom color add another $20. I've never done anything like this so my question is, should I keep shopping for a better deal $70 seems a little high. And if I did do this would anyone else interested in something similar or smaller? Maybe get a volume discount?

the previous owner of my Z tried to repair my upper rear panel and it won't suffice for my restoration project, so I am looking for a replacement piece for my 78. I have only found a new one on MSA for a 240 and it is more than I want to spent, but says it can work on a 280... not so sure about that. 1. Will the MSA one fit well on a 280? 2. What other places sell them? 3. Know of any good parts cars with decent one? 4. Will you give/sell me yours off your car?

Hi, all, I have an early model Z with the clear glass in the rear hatch. Problem is a PO somehow put marks/gouges in the glass from a grinder or something and it needs to be replaced, or hidden. Phoenix, AZ, doesn't have any resources for old hatches to pillage and I have tried to get the gouges "buffed" out without success. I could put the louvres on to cover them up but not sure if that would make sense for an early Z. Any ideas/thoughts? Thanks!

I have seen a couple threads about this, but no real definitve answer, so... I have a 74 260z and was looking into the idea of getting t-tops added, but i have no idea who I would talk to to get something like this done. And does anyone know if you can just use t-tops glass, from the ZX. Or if it is a completely different size/design.

Both 1/4 panels are gone. i got one side replacment and after sand blasting i see that i need the other side two. floor pans are gone (no suprise) and so is the rear hatch thing…

Although the painting phase of my restoration project is some time away, I am considering painting my 1970 240Z just like the factory did. As part of the restoration I plan to completely remove the existing paint from all the body panels and the uni-body shell. Based on observations of several 240Z’s with original paint, it appears that Nissan painted the cars with the doors, rear hatch, fenders, headlight extensions, hood, inspection panels, valance and the outer valance panels attached to the uni-body. The cowl panel must have been laid in place without its screws during painting so it could be removed later for installation of the wiper components. Of course, when …

Quick question. I'm putting in a new rear glass hatch weather seal on a ‘77. Is it easier to put the seal on the window (glass) first and then hatch? Or vis versa? Any tips?
