Taking apart Tail Lights

Hey guys, I got my tailights out, and going to clean them up and all. I heard you can put the light assembly into a hot bath to peel apart the lens from the housing. But I was wondering what type of glue or substance do you use to put them back together? Thanks, Joe

I decided to get rid of that ugly bumper mount, indent, and even the side markers. its not done but its getting there. P.S. Sanding for a few hrs is a real workout!

Late Euro 240Z indicators?

Hello, I'm importing a EUDM '73 240Z fom Switzerland. I've spotted on the photos that the indicators are not mounted below the front bumper like on this G-nosed car... ...but are set in a separate, let's say, box, sticking just in front of the grille, just like here: My question is: did European cars have those as standard from the beggining of production? As far as I know, the 260Z had those indicators as standard from the beggining of production. I didn't spot them on any American or Japanese 240Z, were they mounted only for the European market then? 240Z rear bumper center?

I hope I put this in the correct forum. My Z was rear ended and I need a straight rear center section. It will be dechromed, and modified on the ends like the one on the car now. But I need a straight center section (preferably 73) for the body shop to work with. It seems like these aren't available new any longer. Is that true? Anyone have leads on a straight used one for a 73? Thanks,

Has anybody every noticed normal holes(ie drilled holes) under the sound deadner. I chisled up all of the sound deadner in my car and noticed drilled holes under it.

Anybody know if the 73' 240Z is supposed to have a hole in the rear quarter panel in the center of the bumper indentation? The bumper indentations were Bondoed over on my car and after 30 seconds with a screw driver I was left with this. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/big_daddy_nismo_4x4/detail?.dir=/df68&.dnm=adf3scd.jpg Both left and right sides are the same. I am guessing that the 73' bumper has an attachment point there?

Hey guys, I have compounded and polished the car today... wondering if I need to wait til tomorrow to wash and wax, or if I should be able to just wax right away.... its not show quality paint (still 32 yr old original paint)

I'm about to start reassembly of my early 77Z and I need to purchase all the body rubber and seals. The list includes windshield, rear glass, quarter windows, door windows, doors, rear hatch, hood, and fenders ( inner and outer ) - literally every rubber seal and bumper for the body. Now, I know that there are probably others that I don't know about, but I do know that MSA, British Victoria, and Courtesy all have various OEM and after market parts. So, I am interested in hearing reviews from those who have actually used parts from those suppliers, and other suppliers as well, to include durability, quality, fit, and cost.
