I read most of the comments regarding replacement of the rusty floors on my 72 240z on this website and appreciate the good information. I ordered a set of floors from Zedd Findings and will follow the recommendations for replacing the floors and supports on this website including treating them with POR 15 on both sides. I also want to prime them with 2 part epoxy primer. After the floors are in, Where can I get the replacement insulation? Are you using heavy felt tar paper and making them or using the aftermarket soundproofing material? I would also like to know if the support rails are painted the body color. Mine are black but they could have been painted the blue…

Hello all, A question to all the Z enthusiast out there... I have a 72 240z, and all that's needed is a paint job.... My dilemma is that all the paint shops in my area are collision shops only and won't do full body paint. Which leaves me only the local Macco, and the local full tilt restoration shops. The price for painting the car is either $1000.00 for Macco, or $6000.00 for the a really good job from the restoration shop. All the major body work has been done..ie new sheet metal on the fenders to take care of rust behind the front wheel wells on both sides of the car. There is no major rust that I know of or can see (the cars always been garaged, and maintained since…

With all the discussion about Headlight Covers, a Factory Option for the Early Z's, I thought we could "pool" regarding what we think this auction will end up selling for: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4534911997&fromMakeTrack=true Since it's already at $350US, let's take a poll as to what it finishes at. Hey all, I am getting my 71 painted at the end of this month and presently the taillight area is red and I don't care for it as much as a darker color. The car will be rosa corsa red <ferrari red> and was hoping to get some imput from you on which color choice or ideal for the rear section. I was thinking a flat or eggshell black . Anybody have any expierence with upkeep with any particular colors or finishes ? The car will be stored in a garage covered and driven maybe once a week. Thanks

Hi All. I was wondering where I could source a set of new tail light panel tabs for my 240z...the ones that are actually welded to the body in which the tail light panel clips connect to. The body shop removed these tabs when they replaced my rear pan, and I'm having a hard time finding replacements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry if this has been asked before but do you know if this airdam is available in the U.S. ? I realize this is a 240sx converted to a Z nose but I would like to adapt this airdam to a 240 Z if available. I stole this pic from the earlier G-nose thread and I believe this car is in Japan. Thanks for any leads.
