Found this on e-bay and thought it was a weird way of repairing the frame rails. Notice the notches. And is he just covering up the old rusted metal? What do you guys think?

Well I was on the fourth(final) coat of clear and dirt or somthing got on the door. So stupidly I try to fix it. Needless to say it's back to primer. In the process I knocked the shop light into the perfect rear quarter panel but looks to only have gotten the clear. ? is can I scuff the rear quarter with ?1500 grit and re-shoot clear , or is that one going back to primer also?

Ok, spent the best part of Sunday degreasing, scouring, wire brushing and painting my solid brake/fuel lines and all the associated metal brackets, I think this is now bordering on eccentric as I knew full well the would be fine in their oxidised slightly rusted form, but I just couldn't bare to put any sign of rust onto my nice clean car.

you can see from the picture how my mirror shifts a little back and forth and leave these ugly scratches in my paint. i tried tightening it as much as possible but it doesnt seem to help. i was thinking of going around the perimeterof the mirror with rubber cement or hot glue but i dont want it to look cheap or anything. do you guys have any ideas? i was also thinking of cutting out a kind of spacer or gasket out of some thin rubber. does anyone else have this problem?

Hi all, Just in the process of sorting out a R200 diff to go on my Z. I've got hold of some POR-15 after reading many good things about it on here. How many coats do you think the diff should have? I've got some of the marine clean and the metal ready stuff as well - think I need that for the ali diff cover right? I've just finished off cleaning the diff up with various wire-brush drill attachments, still looks pretty rusty but there's no loose flakes on it any more. I've never used this stuff before so not quite sure, any pearls of wisdom about using the stuff? Cheers, Rob

I just purchased bumper guards for my front bumper. Mine were missing when I purchased the car. My question is when installing these should there be any kind of padding between the guard & bumper?

Could someone tell me if a 1978 280Z 2+2 fender will fit a 1973 240?

Hey folks, I knwo this has been discussed before but what the heck. My 71 240 has alot of rust in the kicker panels and in the fender wells. Now my parts car has basicaly no rust in thease areas ( but it rusted out everywhere else go figure) Will the kicker panels and fender wells interchange from a 74 260 to my 71? Thanks Bill

Hey folks: need some advice. Stripped the interior over the weekend and was busy inspecting for rust. Unfortunately, found some in the driver's floorpan and against the firewall. Oh, well-not really question of "if" so much as it is "how much" :disappoin To the point, I noticed some surface-looking rust inside the door sill (As you know, it is hollow there with several 2 inch cutouts for wiring) along the inner surface of the metal which makes the outer surface of the car. (Sorry, I am blanking on the right term for it.) It is difficult to see, let alone paint/grind. Has anyone encountered that? Maybe a long-shaft extension and a grinding wheel, followed by most…

If someone knowledgeable could click the link that goes to my website...at the very bottom of it there are a few pics showing some surface rust on the top of the car near both the windshield and rear hatch glass. What would be my best approach of getting that treated. Literally step by step would help as this would be my first at attacking this deadly foe. I figure I should be able to sand that down to the metal (?) but I'm not sure where to go from there, if that's where I even start. Basically, I'm body work deficient, and need help. I feel like such an arse...I can overhaul a transmission, rework fuel systems, and install just about anything mechanical, but I'm stumpe…
