Any ideas on what the best style is for the front air dam on a 240Z? I'm a bit "old school" in what I like, but please offer your suggestions (with pics if possible). Nothing too low that I'll end up "collecting" a few of these guys

My baby is going to the bodyshop/painter tomorrow. I was wondering if you guys could offer some advice or things to watch out for. I did make up a small list of things that I want done like filling the molding holes and stuff. I have also reassembled the car (just the body pannels). Thanks

Surface rust

If the weather will allow I'll paint next weekend. I do have surface rust due to the amount of time it took to strip to bare metal. Can I just sand then prep or will this rust return to haunt me?

I have a fair amount of surface rust on roof, doors and hatch and figured i should probably take care of it before it gets any worse. I am not planning on having the car painted for several months so what is the best primer or surface protectant to use after i get the rust sanded off.

I have been working on '' The Old Blister '' for , lets just say too long . Almost 2 yrs since I have driven her. Any way I am just finishing the body work and the car is ready for prime otherwise. There was rear end damage that was ''repaired'' by others in the past . Big time bondo users. I removed all the filler . escanlon pulled out the sheet metal back to shape as much as could be done with the help of a portapower and hard work. Now I am fitting the sheet metal surround that fits around the tail lights . My question is , what is the clearence between the surround and the body line accross the bottom ? I have a bout 1/8'' on the top and each end but more accross the…

Hi Guys, just wondering, is there an easy way to dye plastic light lenses. in particular i want to dye a clear lens red, and somehow remove the red from a stop lamp to make it clear. If this can't be done, is it expensive to have some sort of plastics place make up a coloured replica of the lenses? this probably won't make much sense to the z guys out there, but the 240K guys it will Thanks Kent

I am wondering if I can still get my hands on one of these kits. http://zhome.com/Classic/Refresh/ORGRSIDE.JPG http://zhome.com/Classic/Refresh/ORGLSIDE.JPG I think a white color kit would look great on a red 240z. It's also something I've never seen anyone in Australia with a Z have. I am looking to be different and I think this is the ticket.

I stopped at one of the salvage yards nearby today to scrounge up Z parts (and a few for my Chevy convertible....). While my search for parts didn't yield any new treasures, I saw an interesting sunroof on a 280Z. It doesn't appear to be functional any longer, looks like someone tried to seal up the edges on the outside, and I'm guessing that it probably had some kind of trim around the perimeter. A view from the interior shows what appears to be a soft vinyl "panel" that could be unlatched and slid back to open up the sunroof. Who knows, maybe it originally had a piece of glass on the exterior...anyone ever see anything like this? Kenny P.

I was looking at the rings that retain the headlights. Are these chrome or Stainless steel?
