Took my driver side door apart this winter to treat the inside with Por15. I did have abit of a problem with rolling my window all the way down and then getting it back up before. Well now it's even worse. Does anyone know of a trick to properly adjust the window requlator and guides to fix this problem? Thanks

Door Striker bolts / striker stripped?

Well after putting on a new VB driver's side door weatherstrip last spring, all the slamming of the door and adjusting and readjusting the striker plate on the door jamb has resulted in there only being 1 bolt left that will actually tighten :-( Since that's not enough to hold the striker in place when closing the door, pretty soon I won't be able to use that door at all :-( I don't have a chassis manual and I've been afraid to remove the striker plate completely to have a look as I'm afraid I won't be able to re-attach it :-( Does anybody have an idea of how I can fix this? I'd like to figure out what to do before Spring :-)

Rear bumper brackets

Hopefully I can describe the problem well enough to get an answer. The rear bumper on my 73 z has been tweaked a bit, so I removed it. Both brackets(the rear ones, not the side brackets) seem to be bent, but I'm not sure how much. Are undamaged brackets formed with only right angles, or are the bends in the bracket something other than 90 degree bends? Are they supposed to be exactly rectangular in overall shape, or are they more trapezoidal with angled legs(sides)? The reason it's not clear to me is that the bumper when mounted is not that far out of alignment(is shifted slightly to drivers side), both brackets have similar shapes, and I've never seen brackets on an…

Crack Between Rear Pillar and Roof 1 2

I've noticed on several Z's that there exists a hairline crack at the point where the rear pillar(?) meets the roof. Mine included. Is this just a weak point in the structure? Is it evidence of hard driving, where the body flexes? I'm just going to re-weld; unless that's a bad idea. Attached is pic of mine.

Someone can tell me how can i check the car to make difference between an turbo oil leaks or valves stem seals oil leaks (Always for the 260Z 2+2 i puchase seeing in my gallery) When i run the car to 3000 rpm there was lot of smoke at the exhaust, but how can i define where is the leak? when the car is at 800 rpm there is also little smoke (when it was cold) the car can't take the road, so i didn't know if the turbo climb well on pressure..... Thanks for help

electric fuel pump on 240z 260z?

I read on Victoria British catalog p73 that 240z and 260z have 2 full pump (1 mÃ©canic & 1 electric). is it exact? it's not common with carburator! I suppose there is a relay, which activate the pump when you switch the key and stop if you didn't run the engine, but where is it? I suppose too that if there is an electric fuel pump, there is a fuel return line to the tank? On the car i puchase (260Z 2+2 with Janspeed turbo kit), there are no return line (switch off) and i think there are so no fuel pump (probably take off when the kit was assembling). futhermore when i restart the car (after 3 years), the fuel didn't come easyly to the fuel filter, and i 'd must force…
