Have just come back from my local Nissan dealer who has informed me that there are no fuel pumps in Oz for the L26 motor. I called into a local parts dealer and he had one that looked the same but it was for a 240C motor. My question is, is this the same pump as it looks the same but there is no part numbers on it except the after market number. It was made by a company called "Something Enkico?". I am mainly worried about fuel delivery hence my question as the 240C came with one carby as opposed to dual carbys on the Z car. Any clues out there???

If you go to this website http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/ You will be able look up paint code info and the actual mixing formulas for any year Datsun. Hope this of help to some of you. http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/ BTW. Once inthe site. Go to the COLOR INFO dialog box, the FORMULA LOOKUP, the in the VEHICLE COLOR CODE box click on ADVANCED SEARCH. Then if you have the code number well, it should be pretty obvious what to do at this point. Hope this helps someone.

(Sorry if this is a duplicate posting -- I attempted it but it looked like I was automatically logged off before the message was posted.) I'm new to the Z car club. I've had my '72 240Z since about 1985, but I haven't done anything but occasionally drive it. A couple years ago, I had it serviced at the Wizard of Z's in Riverside, CA. The guy did wonderful work -- it's now running better than ever. I called the Wizard's last week and found the phone was disconnected. I would like to have my car painted, as the orange paint is faded and in pretty bad shape. I recalled Jim (the wizard) telling me one time that he recommended Bionic Paints (San Bernardino, CA) to paint m…

I'd like to find out how to permanently prevent rust from reoccuring in my 280z. And if that's possible. I've read here on this site that Por-15 has about the best products for this purpose but I don't recall seeing how long it continues to prevent rust. From all the posts I've read, I'm thinking I should strip out all the interior and pull off the headlight buckets and fenders. Then treat all the interior surfaces inside the car and all the hidden surfaces of the bodywork with the Por-15 treatment. Thanks in advance for all your help! P.S. I live in an arid environment and don't intend to drive the car in snowy conditions. And it's a daily driver.

I have my car stripped down to bare metal. And I'm getting ready to start prepping for paint. I've heard that it's not good to put "bondo" on bare metal, but to lay down a sealer/primer first, then use the bondo. How correct is this? Is so, then how do I prep the surface of the primer so that the bondo will adhere to it?
