the chromed plastic divider over the years(30) has deteriorated--bubbled and peeled--from exhaust fumes.What are the options?Is rechroming plastic a possibity and if so,where? Any other processes?Tail light assemblies are NLA as you know. Thanks in advance. B.B.

So it a nutshell, I wanted to replace my truck mirrors with something a little more sportscar like. The mirrors on my '75 280Z really are not truck mirrors, but from the inside look like it. I missed the cool mirror my 240Z had. I shopped all over and finally found some that looked very much like my old black 240Z mirrors, complete with the 'accordian' rubber parts. So my mirrors have been sitting in the respective boxes for a few months waiting to be installed. I finally had a few hours to burn and decided to tackle it. I have little hope for this one! One of my fellow Zen club member, asked me the strangest question I heard for years, he (think) saw 20 years ago an ad for an after-market mod for the 280ZX, it was a gull-wing doors conversion kit, does it ring a bell to someone here? :disappoin I don't think it's a good idea :disappoin I don't think it would make a pretty car :disappoin It leaks enough already... I have floors in my car. Put them there last winter.. But I also have several leaks, air and water seem to flow through the car with relative ease... Any good thoughts as to haw to seal up body repairs..

I have seen a pic of a '73 240z with a fluted bonnet/hood. I thought that the hoods with such slots were from later model cars (260/280) but the owner says that this is a 'rare factory fluted bonnet'... Is he right? Or has a previous owner dinged the bonnet and replaced it from a later model?
