Spring in the drivers door, to hold it in position, is missing. Can I use any old spring, or do I need a door spring from a Z? Where would you get a door spring? Didn't see one in MSA, VB or Tweeks.

Its been some time but here we go. I picked a 73 Z and towed it home on a trailer. The car had been sitting in a garage stuffed with old clothing and invading mice for 12 years. I pulled all the plugs and used a little marvel mystery in each cylinder. Hand turned the engine with no problems. I found very little carbon on plugs and nothing else. Tested and cleaned metal fuel lines. Replaced all rubber fuel lines, fuel filters (Yes filters - Tank, electric fuel pump and engine compartment) along with the heat shielding material. I fired it up and it runs really nice. Replaced the master cylinder. Now this is where I need advice. 1. I am debating on if I should rebuild or r…

The rubber weatherstripping around the rear window has a channel that holds the chrome molding. In each corner is a separate chrome piece. One of these pieces has popped out and I can't get it to go back in (well I can get it back in but it's not tight like in the other three corners and it won't stay). The rubber on that corner seems a bit worn, but is not cracked. Any help on how to get it back in? Is it salvagable or is it time to replace all of the weatherstripping around my rear window? How hard is this to do and where do I get the parts?

Hi guys I'm writing becuase I have a 240z in the garage which has been stripped to a bare shell and I planned on sand blasting the rust out and rebuilding the car ground up brand new paint etc. Now the other day I found a car advertised a 240z 72 mdl a year earlier than mine which has been well restored with the same color I was gonna do ferrari red and rebuilt L28. The car is almost perfect new bolts etc and windows + rims and full exhaust system. It's been maticulously cared for and the only fault in the car is a little rust has come back up from the 8 year old job in the doors and a small amount in the rear hatch. The car is straight as an arrow chassis wise and looks…

i really want to get my rims all super shiny without the expense of chroming. I know with the right buffer and rubbing compound it could be done...just need to know if anyone has done it yet and what products did they use? Ive got the slotted mags on there right now.
