I was wondering if anyone else had one of these wheels. I came across an add in an import car mag that advertised removable steering wheels, like they use in most forms of pro racing. I checked their site and sure enough they made a connecting hub for the 240. I got the wheel really because i thought it was cool, and when in my 240 i get this idea that i'm some sorta race car driver. But anyway the quality of the leather wheel is very good in my opinion and whats more i can take it off and no one can steal my car with out it. I have a set of used European 240Z tail lights (not the 5 bulb Japanese taillights). The way they work now is that both to top outer bulb in the red lens and the bottom bulb in the yellow lens flash with the turn signals and hazards. This doesn't seem right to me, as I thought only the bulb in the yellow should flash with the turn signal/hazard. Maybe someone just used the wrong bulb socket harness on these lights before I got them? Anyone know for sure how they are supposed to work?

Has anyone used a series II 240Z console in a Series I? I'm looking for the forward location of the shifter hole as I am using a T5 from an 83 turbo ZX in my 71 240. If it will fit, what was done with the fuse block? Does anyone have a junk console I could tr to see if it would fit? I'm in NJ. Thanks. Joe

Since I can't afford a paint job for a few years (or build a garage soon to try it myself ) I'm wondering if there's something i can do to help the appearance of my roof, and fix the paint flaking around my sunroof and rear window (due to the PO's paint job). The roof isn't bad, just dull. I tried a "de-oxidizing" polish (a turtle wax one?) to no avail. I'm considering a fine-cut polishing compound (like 3M "for heavy oxidation") and if that doesn't work, try wet-sanding with some super-fine sandpaper... any thoughts? I'm also wondering if I could super-fine sand the flaking pictured below to keep it from getting worse, kind of smooth it all out. I think it's just from…

Can anyone give me advice or a how-to for mounting bumper overriders? I've managed to acquire a rear one (but without hardware) and a NOS front overrider, with hardware still in the original bag. The front one is different from other fronts I've seen in pictures: it doesn't go from bumper guard to bumper guard, it's narrower and looks like it mounts to the bumper itself... I can post pictures if needed.

Somewhere high on the pass side of the windshield, water is getting inside the seals and running down the side to pool on the inside bottom of the ws. From there it dribbles down the side of the dash and onto the door and down to the carpet. The seals all look good but water is getting in when the car is moving. I can replicate the problem by spraying a garden hose on the top section of the ws. I have tried using a little black silicone seal but no luck. Any advice about techniques and products to seal this leak??

I know that one can customize any seat to fit in his or her Z, but I was wondering if all of you that have could list the cars that you "borrowed" seats from. Just to give ideas to others as to the seats that were fairly easy to install, or the ones that you had to spend a month customizing brackets for. Thanks! Ryan

I have a 73 240 with some holes in the floor boards . The car came with a set of floor boards from I think MSA. I plan on auto crossing with this car. My question is will the floorboard repair kit from POR give the frame enough strength , or should I spend the bucks and have someone cut out the old ones and weld in the new floorboards. The floorboards have a couple small holes driver side and 1 small hole passenger side. I'd like to save a couple dollars and do the POR myself, but if getting someone to weld in the new ones is the right thing to do then I'll go that way. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated or does anyone have expieriance with the POR repair kit? Many…

What is required to paint the chrome window surrounds black. Is it just a matter of taking them to a paint shop and they do the rest, or is there some prep work you can do before hand. I'm just curious as I've seen a few pics of cars with black trim and they looks great with a dark body colour. Any help appreciated.
