I am in the process of getting my insurance (the geco co) to pay for a Nissan seal so far with little success. They don't like authorizing oem parts. Have $250 deductible, so I will eat the windshield cost but would like them to pickup the cost of the seal & install. I have a new unused precision seal I purchased a year ago. Does anyone have direct experience with using the precision seal? How the fitment was and how satisfied you were with it.

I am almost ready for the glass to go back into my project. Is there a preferred vendor, brand or tint type I should be looking for...?

What are members' recommendations for tools and abrasives to dress down MIG weld beads? For reference, I'm talking about stitch welds on sheet metal. The typical combinations I've seen suggested are: 1) angle grinder/flap disc 2) mini die grinder/2" sanding disc Abrasive grade recommendations I've seen are 36-grit to start and 60-grit to finish. I'm curious to hear thoughts on which combination(s) works best.

Can you clean and polish the camshaft cover without removing it from the engine? If so how would you accomplish this task?

I have a 1972 240Z and am working on the body. Can someone tell me if the body line above the rear wheel arches is supposed to run as one continuous line from the rear of the door to the rear of the car (as shown in this picture below) or does it start and stop above the center of the wheel arch (similar to the front). Is this the same on both sides of the car?

Got this car off my buddys cousin for the cost of fuel to grab it. It's got lots of goodies for it and a rebuilt 3.0 stroker but it's also got a lot of rust in all the wrong places. My experience with vehicles is generally wheeling and building trucks. I've done some sheet metal work and have all the tools necessary bit i have no idea where to start or if I should bother.... See attached pics of the worst and hardest repair. The rest is basic metal cut n fit. What are these top frames called. Can they be fixed? I've seen a couple cars with these cut off and tubed.... My 1977 280z appears to have been jacked up via the frame rail because it's all bent up. Looking to save some money on the replacement. Is it possible to fabricate my own frame rails and just cut out the damaged parts? I dont have much metal experience, but it seems like I could just use a metal brake and bend some sheet metal into the correct shape. Frame rails arent a particularly complicated shape.

My last Z had good rubber on the wipers so never paid much attention to them, this new car that I'm just about to put on the road doesn't even have old blades to go by, are there ready made blades that will fit these arms or do I have to go to a Z specific store? Oh, and how long should they be? Thanks, Chris

Hey guys, I've got a 71 240z that's nearing the end of a restore and I'm having a hell of a time finding replacement bumpers for it and chroming is astronomical. The bumper consists of a main(front) part and two sides with two guards in the center. The guards have a rubber strip, each. The two sides have rubber strips.
