   Seat Belt Replacement

   I've been looking for a replacement for a seat belt/rewind mechanism for a '73 240-Z, drivers side. I know that at this age, they dont have their original strength. Even a good working harness from a junker doesn't really thrill me since it's still a 30 rear old seat belt. I even saw a wrecked one in the junk yard whose seat belts were apparently torn off on impact. Ouch! I haven't seen anything but competition harnesses in catalogs. Are there any adaptations from other vehicles? Any suggestions? TIA Doug Quammen, 73 240-Z:confused:

   Looking for inner fender patch

   Is anyone currently making a patch kit for the inner fender area? The area I am looking to repair is the dogleg indented area directly above where the front cross member bolts in. I have the typical east coast rust spot breaking through the inner fender and am looking for a preshaped replacement metal piece to weld into this area. Any suggestions?

   Hi, I just discovered some hidden damage to the unibody of my '70 240Z intended for autocross/ solo trials. I'm looking to replace the long tapered C-shaped panel that extends from the nose to the firewall along the top of the inner fender well. Does anyone know where I can buy this piece new?    '89 240z Bought for my girl friend, this was the deal of the century. Always lived in the garage and babied. Unfortunately, the mechanic says he can fix it but I need "everything" for the power passenger window except the glass, it is OK.    ok I am new and have lots of questions. I have reading Mr Carl Becks page on exterior/interior colors and seem to have a bit of a situation. I own a dark green 907 1970 240 s/n 06882. If I am reading his page correctly, the interior should be tan. Since my interior color is black, is it poosible the factory produced this combination?

   I'll post this in the emergency forum as well as I am sick and tired of my doors. My '73 240Z has doors that just don't want to click. I have to slam the poop out of them to get them to stay shut all the way. If I simply close them gently or my wife does, it closes but one could jiggle the door maybe 1/2" or so. The solution up until now is to slam it hard, sometimes three or four times, to get it to shut. There has got to be some way to adjust them so you can shut it regularly and it stay shut and not jiggle. Of couse when it jiggles, it will not lock. Please help!! timberwolf@geotec.net

    inner front fenders rusted

    I should have kept my hands in my pockets.......I stuck my hand up under the front fender near where the top shock mount is and found the inner fender has turned to dust,,,,I could pull handfulls of rotten metal out.............aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghh! the rest of the car appears in pretty decent shape (considering its age --73)...except for the frame rails inside the front fenders.......... is there a replacement for the inner fenders and can I weld a repair on the frame rails........ any other ideas?.....I like the car...this is just an ugly surprise.     Hardware plating

    Has anyone bought or used the plating kits from Eastwood or Caswell? I want to replate all my hardware, hydraulic line clamps, bolts, brackets, etc. I see Mike G has painted (or powder coat?) some of the brackets black. But some of the hardware looks new or plated. I want to get as close to the original finish as possible, not chrome. Any suggestions?
