Hi, I just finished painting body and about to put parts together. I try to find a sponge? rubber? under the front fender. I could not find any resources about it. Does anyone know the side of the thickness of rubber? or sponge?? of this fender support? Thanks, Tamo3

I would like to replace the hinges on the driver's door of my '78. On eBay, you will see them listed as Datsun 240z 260z 280z RH side door hinge set so you either ignore that one or look into the microfiche, which I don't have any more. Sometimes the later models have a similar part but are different than the earlier ones. In stead, I'll ask if they are all equivalent. thxZ

I have the body panels left from my parts car (a 1978) and I won't be needing them, along with all the lights and some other things. Since there is basically no way for the ordinary person to box and ship things like wings and bonnets, I thought that I could take all but the bonnet to a reseller for a bit of cash. Otherwise, it's only worth the price of scrap steel. Besides an automotive reseller, is there any other place that might accept good-condition Zed sheetmetal?

Howdy, One of these threads again.... I guess it's okay to have another one every couple of years, keep the information "fresh" I needed some assistance regarding what color my Z is, the tag located on the front cross-member was not stamped as is blank. I believe that it would be 304 Gold Metallic based on information that I found from, http://www.zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/ I'm not currently looking to respray the whole car, i just need to get it semi-presentable to take out on dates, which means the driver fender // hood // front valance need to be addressed. As I am going through detailing my 72 I find that I want to find better parts throughout. I fought the hood latch this evening, thank goodness that I had the fenders off and was able to reach through and unbolt the male portion of the hood latch. I am looking for a NOS hood latch mainly the female portion but would also be interested in the male portion if I could find one. If anyone has one or know where one can be purchased let me know. While browsing vendor sites this morning, I discovered that MSA are now offering new replacement aluminum door sill plates (aka 'threshold plates') with the 'Datsun' logo. Another 'unicorn' Z part now available for purchase, after years (decades?) of being NLA. $179 for a pair. With Distinctive Industries now making replacement door cards with OE-look vinyl trim (apparently in all colours -- not just black), that looks after two of the most-visible, but traditionally hardest-to-find, parts for a Z interior restoration.

hi everybody I am in need of 2 body parts no long made ,I am looking for the front fender seal that covers the headlight bezel and bolts to the inner fender wheel well liner . if you look inside from the front tire you will be looking at the headlight . this is the cover that keeps the dirt off of the bezel.I am in need of both left and right side .I will purchase and pay shipping if anybody has these 2 parts kind regards kully
