I am looking at getting some fairlady style fender mirrors for my z, the units I'm looking at use studs and nuts from the bottom. Will I need to remove my entire fenders to mount them and if so how involved is this process? BW

Hey guys, I'm starting to work on my Z and I have a question about the current status of my rust/paint. I'm new to working on cars so i'm not yet very knowledgable on all of this stuff. I'm trying to assess if I have a rust problem that needs to be dealt with before it gets worse. The paint on my Z actually looks pretty good, but on some spots there is rust bubbles and what looks like stress cracks in the paint. I attached some photos that shows the problem areas. This includes the inside of the hood which appears to have burnt from the previous owner. It's showing signs of rust under the chipping paint. Should I strip her down to metal and deal with the…

I recently aquired this because I hate spot welds and I thought it might help out. I found this one at a great deal on Ebay. We will see... Air powered and has a rear lever for applying pressure. Adjustable depth, so you can just drill through the top layer(s)

on the top of the fender, between the windshield and front edge of the inspection cover, is this flat or should there be a slight crown to it? both of mine are flat, but it just doesnt look right thanks all sb

I've been having a lot of fun lately cleaning up piles of parts with my media blaster. My focus has been on mostly doing cast aluminum parts and nuts & bolts, and experimenting with different media. Today I looked at my horns and they were horrible, so I took them off, gave them a cleaning, and reinstalled them. If anyone is interested, I've attached a few pictures of 'before' & 'after'. nasty, nasty.... but they cleaned up real well....

Howdy, I was able to successfully rekey two of my door cylinders to match the key to the ignition key. On the rear hatch however the little dust guard spring broke. I really don't want to re assemble everything until I can either find this part, or remake it. I tried local locksmiths // hardware store, but can't find anyone that has a spring that small. I can get the measurements if anyone has tiny torsion springs sitting around. Regards

Just as the title states, what is your experience with the aftermarket gaskets vs. Nissan parts? The price different is measurable, $60 vs. $100. I know many will say just pony up for the Nissan parts but would love to hear any feedback on the aftermarket gaskets. Thank you!

From what I have been told the upper front fender bolts (next to hood) are special 6X10mm in that they have a thinner head than standard. Is this true. If so, source?
