   Hi guys, I have a 'spare' Z that I would like to rebuild to look like a 240ZG racecar. The original that I have in mind is the car that is supposed to have participated in the Fuji 1000 in 1971 or 1972. The only reference I have is an old scalemodel kit (1/24 scale) from Fujimi. I have the following questions for you: 1. Has anyone information of this car (descriptions/pictures) 2. Where to buy a G-Nose, headlight covers and ZG flares I know that MSA has a g-nose kit, but they don't have headlight covers. In another thread someone mentioned sources in Japan, but no further sites specified. Thanks Emil Stojanov The Netherlands

   Location of 240Z Hood Emblem - How far from Front Tip of Hood?

   I am putting my 1970 240Z back together. The hood has no sign of any holes being drilled for the mounting of the round Datsun hood badge. (1) Did the early 1970's have this emblem/badge, (2) how far from the front tip of the hood should the bottom of the emblem be?? Coop

   Are these cool or what? William at William's auto body made these to show different levels of contrast for the rally stripe. The smaller one is somewhat lighter, but the pics don't show it well. Base paint is a really nice metallic silver. William's Auto Body is "the" local Z car body guy in this area. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to Z's and is a pleasure to work with. Thanks to whoever it was referred me to him!

   hello fellas, fairly new to forums. i have a 1978 280z. I need help finding out what a part is called, I've looked all over the internet,service manuals, factory manuals... and NOTHING! so description is it is the Rear body assembly between the taillights and the rear twilight cover. ill upload a pic of what I'm talking about and of my car.. any help would be great! thanks! Now the person actually holding it is for a 240z b ut i think they should be the same...

   My front fenders are toast on the bottom mount points. Im trying to decide If I should get new aftermarket panels or just buy lower fender and repair the original. Does anyone have bad experience with newer aftermarket panels from like black dragon or whoever? I'm told they might not line up right and arent good quality. What is best option from your experience doing either or? Thanks, Joe

   Hey I had a fabricator friend come over to help evaluate my floor pans and he saif he'll do it, but for him to do it right I should order actual replacement panels. I hear alot avout Zedd findings floor pans, but I also saw classic 2 current pans on rock auto for 100 bucks a side a significant savings over Zedd findings but not significant enough that I would buy a truly inferior product. My rust goes up the trans tunnel a little ways, will either pan patch this area? And does the Zedd findings pan fit alot better? Has anyone used the classic 2 current pans? Also my front seat supports are shot, but 135 per side for new just seems really high. Are these structural at all …

   I would like to install a right side mirror on my 78/280. I am looking at the pair of mirrors from Z Specialties that sell for about $35. Has anyone used these and if so what do you think? Quality and how you think they look on the car. Does the mirror really help that much? The price seems good, maybe too good. Any other suggestions.. Thanks for any info. JB

    Just got a 73 Z, low mileage, single owner, very little rust, looks straight from what I could see laying on the ground in the bright sun. Took it home and got it jacked up to remove the old undercoat and hunt down hidden rust and this is what I see Obviously I need to get the straightness checked by a shop but my question for veteran owner / restorers is : have I made a huge mistake?
