Or tried any other spray-on film protector with good results? My '76 280Z 2+2 was recently freshly painted and I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep it from getting stone chips along the rocker panels and behind the rear wheels. I orderd some MSA custom splash guards, but they are going back. The quality looks fine, but the fit along the body is way too poor in my opinion. And I do prefer the looks of the Z without the mud flaps. So if anyone has any other products they can suggest for keeping the paint protected, that'd be great. (I know this has been discussed before with not much consensus). Thanks. Gary

I saw a car the other day with plates on the area between the front fender and spoiler. It filled in the indentation where the front bumper mounts to the side. The car did not have a front bumper and I was wondering if I was to go bumperless if there was a place that offers these plates or I will just have to make them myself.

I searched the forum and learned two things: 1. The interior metal components (e.g. tool lid cover) with the factory silver is NOT the same as what was originally sprayed on my '73 exterior (which shows 901 paint code on the engine bay sticker). My car has been resprayed sometime during it's life a metallic silver, but it wasn't a quality paint job. 2. No posts shared how fellow ZED owners matched up their 901 silver when they purchased their paint. My car is currently in the body shop to get straightened / painted - I am sticking with the factory 901 color. What I am hopeful for is someone can help me with some type of paint code that the paint supplier will be able t…

This project took us almost 2 years due to how hard it was to find a NOS spoiler and how original urethane material was being too flexible to get the mold out of. Here we have it! This is a fiber glass material, but fits better than original one. Buy Datsun Parts | jdm 240z parts | Vintage Parts | 240z Parts | Datsun 240z

I started to disassemble the Z today and noticed there is a stamping on the front fenders near the cowl. The stamping was a logo and "made in Taiwan". Is this a replacement fender or was it outsourced back in the day?

Isn't there a seal between the door hinges and the metal part that supports the fenders. It has a seal running top to bottom. Would anyone know the length, etc. of the seal beside door hinges? 71Z. Thank you, TimsZ

I removed the front fenders on my 77 280z and discovered that the seal between the fender and body, just in front of the doors, was dried out and did not do its purpose anymore. I've been searching for a replacement but so far without any luck. Has anyone replaced that seal? And with what?

My ZG flares are on the way from Japan and my Vitalino Turbo mirrors are here waiting to be mounted. Excited about no rubbing tires- not excited about putting the Z under the knife.
