I have a BRE style Spook that I have not put on yet. Speaking of that Arne, I would love to see underside pictures of your spook and how you mounted it. I remember when you did it but never saw the results. Right now though, my front end is stock and I intend to install the spook after I see what the new wheels and tires present.

Hey guys, I just want to make sure before I spend the money, but will the doors off a '76 coupe fit correctly on my '78 coupe? I've got conflicting answers on my searches and want to be sure before I go to the pick and pull and strip all the good parts. Thanks for the help.

Here are some photos of work I did in October to improve the cabin environment. There are many ways to tackle this, here is my first attempt: I used a product from the home insulation/HVAC insulation industry. It is simply a bubble wrap material with aluminum foil on each side. I measured the target area then cut it into basic shapes.I secured it together using a wide red vinyl tape that I found in a local hardware store for convenience. Since the vinyl interior trim will cover this material, you do not have to worry too much about aesthetics, however it should not be lumpy, lack symmetry and holes for seat belt anchors, storage doors, centre console etc. should be le…

This cool cat down-unda literally tears a Z apart at the seams to do the best no-rust-resto I have seen. Lots of superb pics worth saving that show the inside of nearly every part of the body! Go through the 6 pages. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,7360.0.html

I removed the hood and headlight buckets my 240 to paint. Everything fit well and the gaps looked perfect pror to dissasembly. However, now I can't get them to align on reassembly. The hood fits fine along the fender line but it sits too high at the headlight buckets. I can't seem to get it to adjust out. Any ideas????

I am planning on bringing my 240z to a shell and then blasting it down to bare metal. I was wondering what to do with underneath the body, inside fender area, and frame rails. I have seen many people that use POR or just undercoating such as gator coating. My question is can you coat the car with POR and then shoot undercoating over it or should you just use one or other other? If you undercoat, do you need to POR the interior or is respraying with paint sufficient? I tried searching, but most just showed restorations just using one or the other.

I have long morned not getting a Ducted spook. I loved having the spook on the car, but something was missing. Where there should have been brake ducts, there was nothing. There was but solid fiberglass. At last I was fed up with it and broke down and ordered a new ducted spook from MSA. It is a relatively good quality product. I took it to the same paint shop that prepped and sprayed my first spook. I gave them one of the inspection lids to give them something to match. considering that they were painted 3 years apart from one another, by different people (same shop), I am amazed at how close they came. The finish is good, even, and has good coverage. Her…

I had to get to the inside of my doors... After I removed the door panel, I pulled the plastic sheet off the door. The sheet, being brittle from age, was unsalvagable. It tore in multiple places and needs to be replaced. Anyone know what kind plastic Datsun used for that sheet? I know I could just use a trash bag or a plastic drop cloth from a home improvement store, but I think the original was something more robust than polyethylene sheet. Also, how about suggestions of what to use to hold it in place? I cleaned off all the old butyl and I want to use something that isn't so much of a mess. Suggestions?

Not the hanging type for the wheels dealers would stick on before the sale but the narrow metal baffle that sits between the inside front fender and the body. Mudgaurd is the best term I can come up with. Mine are pretty bad shape and I have been trying to find a source but so far no luck, not even ebay has any. Thanks, Chris

Continuing on a theme on here, I've got the chance to buy a set of headlight bucket's that have the OEM chrome headlight trims installed, the covers are missing. How much would these be worth? I was thinking of buying them and bonding set of the generic covers to the inside then properly mounting, I can't run to the money a full set are going for now days. So basically what is a fair price?
