My car is currently being painted. The paint shop owner asked what I wanted to do with the backside of the fender--something I had never thought about. The image above is from another car--the back of my fender is mostly grey with some old undercoating. The shop suggested these three options: paint it orange (like the outside) POR over the old undercoating (there is no rust) Leave it alone Any thoughts?... I can't imagine this ever being seen unless you look under the car.

I'm going to convert my 76 to the fiberglass front air dam with bumper detail. The Z store has them for a good price of around $187. However, I live in Michigan and shipping it from California to here was quoted as $165, almost as much as the air dam itself. Does anyone know of another source for this style front air dam with less costly shipping? Thanks Gary

I am in the process of converting my 260 bumpers to the pulled in 72 style and have a few questions. What bracket or mount goes on the outer ends? Is there a filler that goes in between the grill and bumper? Thanks in advance. I don't have an early car to use as reference and couldn't find anything in the archives. Dean

Im back with more pictures of the progress on my 240z. I started replacing the floor pans and have one side completed. The pans came from Charlie at Zeddfindings. I also started work on the passenger door. I am replacing the outer door skin so I blasted the inner side of the door shell and treated it with POR 15. Finally, I removed both hood ledge support rails to replace with NOS that i bought from Courtesy Nissan.

I picked up used 3 piece ISMA spoiler. I have only two bolts for the center. I was thinking SS sheet metal screws for the ends and two by the lock. I have to fit it soon before paint. Drill holes and SS sheet metal screws is that the way to go. One like this

Just wondering if anyone else has smoothed out all these little body inserts? what would be my best option? trying to hammer out these panels, cutting and welding in new sheet metal or just using filler to fill them up? 1970 240z Restoration in progress

Hey everybody. I removed my cowl today to take care to some surface rust and I ran into a problem. On the inside there is a grey primer and there was rust was in some areas popping through it. I would like to coat down there with POR15 and i really don't trust leaving the rest of the primer there seeing how there could be more rust underneath. Has anyone ever removed the primer down there and if so how did you guys do it? I could barely maneuver enough to sand down the rusted areas. Thanks

I've read section of FSM about removal BUT i decieded to ask from the pros too. My current tank is ok, but PO had painted it over with the same colour as the car, and it looks ugly. Is this a tricky task? Any hints?

I want to keep it reasonably original. Did every 73 come with those racing strip-like door guards. I not sure I ever liked them. Now is my opportunity to remove them. Any thoughts?

I bought a 77 280Z for the purpose of restoring. I didn't know much about them prior to owning one except that I've always liked them, and now with no kids around, time for me to have a project car! So my question is, I looked at the color code tag in the engine compartment. Says it's black pearl. However, what I've read says that color didn't come out till 78. The date of manufacture tag on my car says 2/77. I'd like to restore it to it's original color if that's truly it. Otherwise, I might just do something else. Thanks for any info.
