People had the "option" to either say "I wanna buy it", or get told "Get the hell outta the showroom, I got BUYERS over here."

In North America, NO "factory" options on any 240Z's. There were some dealer installed (factory authorized) options over the years.

I suspect that to be very true what with how Datsun couldn't keep the cars in stock.

Checked my book and while there are some good pics showing the nice, flowing lines of the 2000GT, they don't show the "similar flaps" you refer to. However, the compartments behind the front wheels are most evident. No explanation though, so we're still a pair of mushrooms mate.

Wouldn't you like to have one ????? Shame there were only 337 produced.

Bill! The ones next to the bonnet are vents- half correct! They're more than that... but anyway, I'm asking what the little compartments behind the front wheeeeels are for!

And does any other car have them?
