Has anyone ever heard of a company called Top end performance out in Hollywood? They offer a complete suspension kit for under a grand that includes: springs, bushings, swaybars and the strut inserts. They said that it drastically improves handling over stock, but if it's junk I would prefer to go elsewhere to get my suspension components. So if anyone has any comments good or bad about them please give me a heads up on your experience with TEP. Thanks TIM

Hi Frank,

No this kit is listed as a street suspension upgrade. It includes lowering springs, Tokico inserts, urethane bushings and the thick sway bars. I've been reading the forum, and nobody has mentioned anything about tep. I think I'm going to give it a try and see how everything turns out. Thanks for your input, TIM

One thing that keeps sticking in my mind about them is the fact that they refuse to ever admit that they are wrong.

Suspension Techniques sells sway bars for our cars at a relatively inexpensive price too.

I had a 72 240Z, with SST springs Tockiko struts, SST sways and the Energy Suspension urethane kit, it handled better then anything I had ever driven, on H rated tires.

I had no fear of going full speed at or in any twities.

Tep over at Zcar has about a 50/50 love hate relationship, some love them some hate them.

I read through the archives, and found no mention of TEP, and that the question of additions to arrive at a better suspension are better answered by the intended use of the car.

I am getting ready to completely go through a '72 (shiney side down) ,and I want to upgrade the suspension for better street handling, I might occassionally autocross-at a club event, but more often than not the car will be used for pleasure driving and stoplight racing. MY thoughts are a lowering spring/adjustable shock kit, complete urethane bushing kit, bigger wheels and tires, and toyota/zx brakes. I think the marginal cost in time and money is too much on coilover conversion-at least for my use.

I ordered the kit from TEP yesterday, and they said it should be here next week. If it's any good or not only time will tell. I still have to build the rest of the car before I finally get to drive it.

Yeah as far as upgrades to a street car this is about all the upgrading that I'll do. I'll save the camber plates and coil overs for the full out race cars. All of that adjustment isn't going to get me to work any quicker. After I put it all together I'll post a review on how it fit together. Hopefully I don't have the horror story of "I had to modify the springs to get them to fit". Thanks everyone for your replies. Fatones
