hey i hppen to have a 4.3 litter v6. i was wondering if you guys have any speriance in this.

how do they perform.

or maby a v8?

i think im going to put the streight 6 in it. but im thinking.

A 4.3L or a V8, I know of only one gentleman who put a 4.3 in a Z, and many hundreds who have put in a V8! I suppose it comes down to how much fabrication and engineering you want to get involved in. The V8 swap is well documented-I even considered it and bought both books about it from Jags That Run. You can even buy the parts already made up-Hunt the standard pieces, I found a new and reccomended camero radiator on line for $78 shipped.

I have chosen to add current programmable engine management to an L28ET and"super-tune" it. I want the engine bay to look stock-or atleast like it could be-all Nissan pieces(the ecm will be out of sight) I am going to try to keep all of the rest of my changes down to genuine Nissan parts only more current.

I just picked up an S-10 pickup with a 4.3 V6 w/ 80k on the odo.

Its got lots down low nothing much past a certain point.

Then again i have an automatic in it.

I think the were rated around 160hp and 220lbs of torque.

I'm not sure though as i was told this and haven't read anything about it though.

I don't know the rpm data though.

I think i saw a thread about the 4.3 v6 swap into the early Z at hybrid Z.

BTW I have the factory service manuals for a S10 with the addendums for the Syclone/Typhoon, and they all used a 4.3L V.6.

ive got one more q about the stock 6. will it actualy hit 160 mph?

(not that i would try it) but its good to know what it has!

I don't think you can quite peg the guage with a stock setup. I had a '76 2+2 at about 130 in my young, stupid and bullet-proof days!! Gearing will put the stock engine there, but the rest of the car isn't really up for much time at that speed.

Yeah the aerodynamics really kill it off
