Posted February 11, 200421 yr comment_68086 Hi, I'm new here. I want to get a 280Z, can anyone tell me what an average price for one in good condition should be? I don't want to pay too much.Garth Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10148-want-a-280z/ Share on other sites

February 12, 200421 yr comment_68098 Welcome to the club!! Check out these links... http://www.zhome.com/Buying/GDisBuying.html http://www.zhome.com/Buying/WhatToWatchFor.html http://zhome.com/Classic/CommonZRust/RustPrevention240Z.htm I think the price depends on the rust of the car. i pick up mine for a grand but there was some rust and it wasn't running till 2grand later. Tires, brakes, FI, suspension stuff. I think being patient in the long run will get you the best price. February 12, 200421 yr comment_68100 Depends on where you are, too. Looks like you're in CA, so you'll have better luck then those of use back in the rust belt. Previous posters are right, though. Rust will determine the price. In CA, a run of the mill, daily driver 280Z with little or no rust should probably be $2-$3K. FWIW.
