My lower rear transverse link from the a 1972 240z (R180) is Identical to the lower rear transverse link from my 75 260z (R200) (which is the same as a 280z apart form the l26 engine).

See pics. The Black painted one is from a R180, The old looking one is from teh R200.

Even the upright link that joins it to the chasis are the same.

I used the original straight link from my 1970 when I did my R200 conversion and it works just fine. However, there is about 1/8" clearance between the diff cover and the link. Of course, I had to use the proper front diff support and mustach bar. I used an R200 diff and drive axles out of a 1981 to 83 280ZX. I did have to shorten the passenger side drive axle 1/2" so it would not bind when fully collapsed. It is a simple job for a good machine shop. My conversion worked out perfectly.

Well Mr Camo. my transvers link is stright not curved and the car is a '73 built 8/73 which is the build date of the '74 also. Go figure. That SHOWS TO GO YA , YOU CANT COUNT ON THINGS TO BE WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE . Supprised be too. :stupid:
