Just wondering if all L28's came with the electronic fuel injection relay...or if it was only on some?

As I got an engine with wiring etc, but can't seem to find an Electronic fuel injection relay....

The engine is from a late 280zx.

Cheers

Hiya, I recommend getting some kind of EFI schematic. I think I might have one laying around here in digital form. The FI system on these cars is quite complex and has various safety devices that keep it from spurting fuel...

I debugged a '75 280z EFI system and found some useful information.... Start at your fuel pump. If that's running, work your way to the front of the car. The fuel pump should start to pump when you turn the key on......

You'll need a helper.

The efi relay would be in the relay box under the hood of the car not on the engine. All L24E and L28E engines have them. It's a large rectangular shaped relay with a 5 terminal connector. 75-78 press down into the plug and 79 up have a mounting bracket on them.

Go to this link: http://www.72hours.net/~zcar/

It has a pdf version of the Nissan EFI theory & troubleshooting manual for 280Z's!

this will help you find the parts and understand how they work..

Send the link to everyone you know who has a 280Z!
