Outstanding!!!! Isn't it nice to know there are still craftsman like this out there that can build a beautiful cars from scratch. I'm impressed! The last time I saw this kind of work was years ago by a guy named Dave (A&P mechanic) at Santa Paula Airport, rebuilding vintage airplanes. By the why! Just an observation I've made but, is it safe to say that alot of the series 1 Z car guys are big fans of the Daytona Coupe? I know I am.

Absolutely amazing!!! I must agree that this Female Z owner IS a big fan of the Daytona Coupe (with a big block). Could it be that we are trying to see our Z cars within the shape of that fantastic creation. That gentleman definitely as outstanding talent.

Yes sir...you are correct!

Well who will be the first to get an english wheel, shear, press brake, tig welder, hammer forms, shot bags and build the first all aluminum Z car?????

Oh come on, should only take 2 or 3 years if you quit your other job!

Just think that if Datsun had made the Z car out of aluminum we would have been forced to learn some of the metal forming trade.

People always talk about having enough money not to have to work. If I were stinkin rich I would love to tackle a project that requires similar hard work just for the satisfaction of creating a thing of beauty. I wouldn't be the "idle rich" thats for sure!

I know... CoupeCHuck makes it sound so easy... just buy some instructional videos, a couple grand in welding equipment and an English wheel and start learning the craft.... sick!

Last summer at the Monterey Historics one particularly rich owner showed up with a 250 GTO and a white ex-Ford of France Daytona Coupe... He had them parked side by side while his mechanic worked on them... I just about pulled up a chair and sat there all day.... :)
