Horn Pad Removal

Hey

How the heck do you get the horn pad off of a C110?! :stupid: I tried just pulling it off but it didn't seem to want to budge. Is there a trick to it?

Do you mean just the centre rubber pad on the steering wheel? push it then turn it counter clockwise it should be able to pull it off.

You know.. you could always pull one of the horn wire connectors from the horn before you do it.... but where's the fun in that?

Ahh, sweet.

It's a big improvement on the 'D' that's for sure.

The blue badge will contrast nicely with your black interior as well... unlike the blue of mine.

you could've just pulled the negative wire from the battery...

I have that blue "S" from C210 too but I dont like it... I prefer the original structure of the "D" wish it was "S" from the japanese version

The silver looks better I think...

the blue makes it darker because you got black rubber surrounds and then you got dark blue... and the "S" is very hard to read as well...

thats just my opinion anyway

The thing is the centre part from a C210 is different to the C110. They look roughly the same from the front, but the C110's metal surround is actually metal, and the D is a piece of plastic which just falls out once you take the horn pad apart. The C210's centre bit is all one piece, plastic. I wanted to exchange just the blue circle because the C110's outer rim is slightly different (it slopes up at a steeper angle) but that looks to be impossible as the blue circle centre from teh C210 seems to be glued onto the plastic (metal imitation) rim.

SO I'm repainting the outer rim of the C210's centre with some 'chrome' paint, we'll see how that looks. Hopefully I masked off the centre round bit alright!

*phew* I wonder if anyone understood all that?
