Posted February 22, 200421 yr comment_69409 I just bought a 72 with holes rusted through the floor. I plan on having the floor pans and frame rails replaced. I would appreciate input from anyone who has experience having this done. If anyone had it done in southern California, I would welcome a recommendation for a body shop or welder. February 28, 200421 yr comment_70449 It really depends on how bad the rust is. If you can load some pictures we could help you make a decision. Welding in a patch would be the best way to go if the rust is in small areas. But if the entire floor is shot then replacing the entire floor board may be your only option. They are available at Motor Sports Auto (MSA) . Maybe a Zed owner in California could refer you to a body shop that has done it. If not, find a body shop that has experience with body pannel replacement. Good luck. February 28, 200421 yr comment_70465 If you are going to replace the complete floors and rails, be sure to get the best available, which are the Zedd Findings floor pans, or the premium pans from Motorsport(supplied by ZeddFindings) as they are much thicker and the closest copy of the originals.
