February 22, 200421 yr comment_69495 They are the same in the US. The 'E' designates it as a fuel injected engine. There might have been some non fuel injected L28 engines in Australia, England, or Japan on cars we didn't get here. Not really sure as I'm still learning about the non USA versions. We sometimes drop the 'E' here but they are one and the same in the US cars. There are different versions of the L28E. Different heads, different blocks, turbo, non turbo but they are all L28E's. February 23, 200421 yr Author comment_69499 Well mine is an L28 and it is fuel injected it doesnt have the E on it, so if I was to buy parts for the L28E would it still fit my car. Thanks L28 and L28E are the same..There was never a L28 that came in a Z car that wasnt EFI. A L28 thats EFI is a L28E regardless of the E or not..
