February 29, 200421 yr comment_70493 Steely Dan....... Come on admit it, everybody likes Steely Dan, I'm just brave enough to admit it. It doesn't exactly make you want to drive the Z the way it was meant to be driven but the it's still great! February 29, 200421 yr comment_70496 Well Dwight, I guess I'll back you up on the liking Steely Dan. There's was the first cassette in my collection.Nothing compares to Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" IMOSecond most favorite would be Bob Segar's "Mainstreet" for cruising...:cheeky: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10417-z-music/?&page=2#findComment-70496 Share on other sites
February 29, 200421 yr comment_70499 Oh no, Guadelahara won't do-I readily admit, I like Steely Dan too! I second the Mainstreet; but, my first tape was Cletus Maggard singing "The White Knight", like admitting to like Steely Dan took Guts...It is absolutely a travisty we have not mentioned The Eagles-I can still sing(if you can call it that) all of the songs from Greatest Hits 1 & 2.Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10417-z-music/?&page=2#findComment-70499 Share on other sites
February 29, 200421 yr comment_70536 I like Steely Dan. I was the Bassist (i.e. "rock star" ) for my high school Jazz Band! :beard: Also, I feel that picking an album isn't as good as picking out a list of related songs, like on my " '70s CD." You could consider that an album of sorts, and can be taylored to your mood, or the destination, or "theme" of your trip, like a 50s car show... BTW, you think I could get the :stupid: smiley for my avator? March 4, 200421 yr comment_71185 Remember...You only get about 80 minutes of music on a CD, so you need to keep in mind if your songs are long or short. Are you going for some kind of theme, or just songs you like, or what? Random songs would be difficult to arrange in a way to keep the "feeling" going. You wouldn't want to get a shock when switching songs. Otherwise you end up with a boring documentary.
