hls30.com Posted February 29, 2004 Share #2 Posted February 29, 2004 All of my girlfriends loved the car! One was jealous of it-she didn't last long! One liked it so much, she went out and found one just like it! 10 years ago, and she still has it! My wife recognizes that Zs are in my blood, and she has learned to appreciate them-even beats me to recognizing them on the street! She caught on that a car is really just a wierdly-shaped metal box with windows, wheels, and an engine, when I pulled the whole interior out of my ZX-she wasn't there for the last time I stripped tthe 240Z. She will even come and help when I am working on the car, but she has not learned to do what I mean, not what I say...I guess this too shall pass. Will
seerex Posted February 29, 2004 Share #3 Posted February 29, 2004 my first red 240z got me most of my dates at the time , it wasn't the best late part of the date car but everyone always wanted to ride in it , my latest 240z is still a wonder to my fiance <she wonders where all my money goes > but she loves it actually she wants one as well but newer . But the best times I had in my z weren't on dates ,it was always about midnight and generally i would take out the z with a few good cds and burn up a half a tank or so through the good turns or downtown streets enjoying the views of others of my car from a distance or hearing it wind up under an overpass or in a parking garage <always love the sound it made> it was always a great joy to put it back in the garage late at night waking up the neighbors , later:geek:
sblake01 Posted February 29, 2004 Share #4 Posted February 29, 2004 I have never had a problem with the Z's I have owned and signifigant others/wives down through the years. The one I have now is the only one I've ever owned during a marriage. She goes to shows with me, she always gets an event t-shirt when they're available, and is supportive of my Datsun hobby. And to billramsey2002 though I may be an 'old fart' now, I had a wife when I was about your age, too!

hls30.com Posted February 29, 2004 Share #9 Posted February 29, 2004 We aren't too old, your just too young!- Turn up that radio! They say youth is wasted on the young-Bill, it is up to you to prove that wrong having a Z early is a great start! Will
TomoHawk Posted February 29, 2004 Share #10 Posted February 29, 2004 IMo, a Z is most suitable for dating or messing around. Start with only 2 seats, so her 'baby bro' can't go with you. There's not much between the seats to get in the way (except maybe the shift lever, if you leave it in 4th) Compare that to a DeLorean, the console comes up to your armpit, and the windows only go down 5 INCHES! Plus, if you tilt the seats forward, you can get in the back to (mess around) ot just watch the stars...
Fun_in_my_z Posted February 29, 2004 Author Share #11 Posted February 29, 2004 . sounds funLOL but her dad (retired navy seal) would kill me:dead: but if you old peaple would have taken better care of the z cars then mine would be running alreadyROFL
hls30.com Posted February 29, 2004 Share #12 Posted February 29, 2004 Bill,Get your priorities strait-fix the car first and he won't be able to catch you! Besides you're young, anything he might rip off will "probably" grow back if you really need it! Will
