cam tower shims

When I take the valve cover off there is slack on tight side of cam chain. The reason I looked is the chain sounded very sloppy.(Rattling sound). When idling

I have 445/290 cam/ isky springs.

I didn't install new cam & chain because the showed little wear and lined up perfectly on #1 mark.

Update..

It seems when I crank the engine by hand the chain goes slack during highest compression zone. It must be a normal condition when cranking by hand because my other high compression engine that I know runs well, does the same thing.
