Posted March 11, 200222 yr comment_3837 Check this pic out. What a looker...a little too low for my cup of tea but the wheels are striking. Does anyone know what wheels they are? They look like BBS but I'm not sure. I've been to the BBS website but haven't been able to find the model. I've also tried emailing recetep but haven't got a reply. Any help would be appreciated. March 11, 200222 yr comment_3838 Yeah, that is sweet. Yes, they do look like a BBS wheel, but there are quite a few that look very similar. I have seen some like this before but I can't remember what brand they are. They look like 15's or 16's. That may be why the car looks like it sits a little low. Sit's pretty good if you ask me. March 11, 200222 yr comment_3839 Those ARE sharp wheels but if they are what I think they are, they're going to be real spendy. Those look like authentic Wire Spoke Wheels, and last I checked into one of them, they were like $250 EACH, and they weren't too keen on guarantee / warranty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1058-bbs-wheels-or-not/#findComment-3839 Share on other sites
March 11, 200222 yr Author comment_3841 I'm also guessing they are 15's. How low do you think it has been lowered. I'm guessing at 2 inches. Are there any pics out there of what a 1" or 2" lowered Z look like for reference. I don't want to go out and spend dosh and find it is too low. March 13, 200222 yr Author comment_3945 For those of you who are curious....The rims are actually 15" American Racing rims. Fourcorner Coil-Over with shortened struts and Bilstein Strut InsertsApparently these rims are not made anymore. Has anyone got any ideas on a good place to start finding some???Cheers Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/1058-bbs-wheels-or-not/#findComment-3945 Share on other sites

March 13, 200222 yr comment_3962 I won't be easy if they don't make them any more. Did you check out their web-site? It's www.americanracing.com Click on passenger car wheels and it is on the second page. They have one called the Vortex that look quite a bit like these except they don't have as many spokes. And the Vortex are available in 4x4.50 lug pattern in 14x6 or 15x7's for $100 dollars or less manufacturers list price! Not too bad! BTW, didn't I say the BBS wheels would be expensive?????
