March 17, 200421 yr comment_73135 Collect insurance or lawsuit, and UPGRADE!!!! Turn a negative into a positive, it's the best thing to do. Sucks that it happened, but hey...my wreck last summer was the spark in a string of events that led me to my Z. As time progresses, i find myself almost thankful that I smashed a Honda (after seeing what people do to them, ). March 18, 200421 yr comment_73140 Man that sucks about your Z! Hey I'm in Washington too, Spokane.I have had two hit and run incidents wih my cherry 280zx here. Both times I was lucky enough to have fifty dollar deductable on my collision insurance, which covered it. Hope you have something like that! Also your insurance company will likley offer you support in tacking down the suspect. I would provide them any info your friend has on the description of their dumass redneck truck.Oops, sorry, I had to say that.BTW, I had another expereince when a guy in anf-350 truck backed nto the front of my Z when were were at a stoplight. I was laying on the horn but he didt hear me and hit my bumpr at about three miles an hour,it was huge impact. i ran to the front of my car, but that 280zx bumper absorbed the whole impact, you couldnt even tell it happened! So I guess that's one good point the ZX has the old Z's didnt! March 23, 200421 yr Author comment_73858 well, moneys tight and a little paint goes a long way when it comes to stopping rust. thanks for your input guys.luckily, I've got a lot of Z friends here in the North West, and a couple of them have promissed to hook me up w/ a free hood.now its $4000.00 for body work and paint, SCREW THAT!!I'll do the work my self and pay the right guy to paint it for me.But I'll wait on the body work for now, I don't wanna drive around w/ a bunch of primer spots on her.I need about 4 grand to get her road worthy again but that'll have to wait.Dave in WA. state Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10588-big-trucks-suck-a/?&page=2#findComment-73858 Share on other sites
