Posted March 10, 200421 yr comment_72117 More bondo over rust!!! Now I have to remove the rear sight shield which is over the rear bumper . It looks to be spot welded but with the angle it is at I am not sure how to go about removing it? Also what type of paint can be used on the rear trim panel around the tail lights? Learning the hard way but still having fun. Thanks Jim M Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10666-rear-bumper-sight-shield/ Share on other sites

March 11, 200421 yr Author comment_72150 It's the piece just above the rear bumper and below the tail lights on the 77 z . The manual called it a " sight shield " probably because it covers the gap between the bumper and the rear of the car? I just don't want to damage this taking it off .This is my first time doing a restore so half the battle is just explaining the question.
