Top End Performance Parts ???????

My F 54/turbo building project is ready for internal parts. Top End Performance offers a complete "engine rebuild package" for $1895.00. Is this a good deal? Can anyone recommend another supplier with better service or prices? I would like to hear from others who have done business with Top End Performance and their opinions. That seems way to expensive! But then again what does it come with? I rebuilt my L24 and E88 head for about $800 US and that's with the machine shop work and new everything exept crank rods and pistons. so if you're getting all new rods pistons crank block rings bearings head cam springs timing change all gaskets and freez plugs and anything else needed for a "new" L28 I guess its not that over priced. It all depends on what your getting.

Wow! that's pretty good, with the cam and valves, forged pistons! Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

I just ordered a suspension kit from TEP a couple of weeks ago. Everything worked out great. They definately have some nice performance upgrades. The only dissapointing thing was the package didn't arrive soon enough. All was forgotten the day UPS finally arrived! The engine overhaul kit they offer is definately a great setup. Get that kit with the proper machine work and you'll be smokin. I was going to go that route before I got a great deal on a 82 turbo. Good luck

For the members living in and around So. Cal Tep is in north hollywood. They have a in house machine shop and everything done by them is performance. If you check www.racetep.com , Go to the datsun Z section, look for the engine asssembly work available with the $ amount for different machine work.

Out of interest, is that kit list on their site anywhere? I don't seem to be able to find it, just the individual parts. Seems like a very good price for the parts you get.

I just finished rebuilding an engine, so I punched some numbers in for the items you described. Then I cruised the site and punched in the numbers for the pistons, timing set, etc... and came up with $1759 - pretty close. I'ld say it was a good deal.

I've used TEP for machine shop services. It's comforting to have a machine shop that knows it's way around an Nissan L Motor. So far, So good. On time and done right.
