Posted March 14, 200421 yr comment_72514 Where can I pick up a new u-joint? Should I look into a junkyard? I am very very new to Z's and am restoring a 1971 Datsun 240Z and am trying to fix everything I can. I'll have pictures up in a few days. March 14, 200421 yr comment_72519 Order them from MSA, you can get a 'stock' replacement for cheap or the race quality ones made by Spicer for a bit more. March 14, 200421 yr Author comment_72527 The Spicer ones aren't to bad at all $24.95 a pop @ two per driveshaft. Which would last longer, the Spicer of the "Stock" replacements? March 15, 200421 yr Author comment_72659 $12 each @ Autozone or similar. Interesting, I will have to look into that. Thank you for letting me know. How reliable is the Motorsport Auto store? That is where I got the price from. Thank you. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10720-u-joint-going-out/#findComment-72659 Share on other sites

March 18, 200421 yr Author comment_73174 Sounds good. The car has been set off to the side, and is getting slowly stripped so we (my mechanic and I) can get everything cleaned and ready for restoration. Thank you guys a bunch. :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/10720-u-joint-going-out/#findComment-73174 Share on other sites
