That depends on you! If you want to trade some dollars for a generic wiring harness-they have a great one. If you want to spend a lot less money, but a lot more time and energy, you could have the best one-one made for your car-that is what I am going to do.

New Blade fuses-circuit breakers, all connectors silver soldered, weatherpac connectors, relays on all major current drains, battery relocated into cockpit, harness re-wrapped.

If still considering the painless way, I have the painless wiring kit I purchased for my race car three years ago...minus one relay.

I decided not to use in order to save weight went with lighter 6 toggle switches instead.

$75 for the kit....minus one relay, minus paper work that came with it. Not too difficult to figure out.

There's at least one mistake. Can you find it?

Wire sizes: Battery (trunk) +: 2/0

Battery (both) -: 4

Main + to breaker board: 8

Breaker board to switch panel: 10

All other wires: 12

I also put my AMB transponder on one of the spares through a 2A breaker.

All the relays & stuff on the stock electrical system are there for safety, federal compliance (emmisions?) and whatever convenience features. Obviously, you can simplify things down to just a few circuits( maybe even one circuit), but you lose some functionality.

I think the original word was 'functionality'. If the car is to be driven on the street, then you obviously need to add circuits for a few things other than brake lights. Also, although it looks simple, keep in mind everything there (not including battery, starter, alternator, brake lights, fan or fuel pump) is not cheap. Everything pictured will run you somewhere in the neighborhood of $700.
